"This was totally fascinating. There are a lot of books an research referenced in here that I plan to follow up on. The title makes it sound like a self-help novel, but it is actually about the science of thoughts - the study and experimentation in regards to how/whether or not they physically affect the world and things existing in it. The book itself is actually part of ongoing research which the readers can participate in after reading it. Pretty much some of the most darn interesting stuff I have ever read."

" This was an interesting book, which told about how to use intention to make a difference in the outcome of things. The author discussed using scientific experiments to measure intention and how it does make a difference. Experiments were conducted using prayer to help people recover quicker from open-heart surgeries and other physical ailments. The research findings were impressive and thought-provoking. At the end of the book, the author solicits reader participation in future intention experiments. "
— Shaun, 2/19/2014" Found this a little hard to read after the excitement and discoveries of "The Field". However, the promise of being part of the research into more discoveries was interesting. "
— Vince, 2/16/2014" Along the lines of The Secret, but more scientific. "
— Rhonda, 2/2/2014" This was recommended by Sarah Severn. A deep book which explores the unknown and ethereal transmission of personal energy. "
— Wendy, 1/24/2014" Mind-opening, thought-provoking. "
— Kathy, 1/22/2014" This book is fascinating. McTaggart does a great job in building an argument for the link between mental intention and the physical world. Yet, it seems that the scale and the impact of intention can vary to the point of being too minimal to be worth the effort. This should be read as a supplement to books on creative visualization. "
— Yamile, 1/9/2014" Are our prayers answered; do we get what we pray for? And what, indeed, constitutes a "prayer"? Journalist Lynn McTaggert lucidly explains consciousness theory, the intersection between quantum physics/mechanics and spirituality. Impeccably researched. "
— Jeannie, 12/8/2013" this is an amazing book, about how out 'intention' affects past and future events. It has documented research on various studies being done on the effects on intent on healing and at the end invites you to join in an experiment on line, very interesting. "
— Mark, 12/7/2013" Awesome! I loved reading about all the quantum physics experiments and experiments with plants responding to our thoughts and intentions. It was interesting how they were able to scientifically "prove" that energy healing and intentions really do work. Who would have thought? =) "
— Anji, 9/26/2013" This book is mind blowing and an awesome read. "
— Catherine, 8/21/2013" A nice book explaining how our thoughts and intentions can change things around us without we even being consciously aware of it... "
— Janardan, 6/26/2013" McTaggert describes experiments with more detail than I needed, but the idea of intention changing reality is pretty interesting. "
— Holly, 1/5/2013" Intention -- it can be a powerful thing! Read with an open mind. "
— Leanne, 8/2/2012" While I liked reading this book and having the science behind it, it took to getting to chapter 13 to get to what I was looking for in the book. This book seems to follow along the same theme of the books I've recently read. Very heady stuff. I enjoyed it. "
— Sese, 3/2/2012" McTaggart makes a convincing case for the ability of thoughts to affect material reality. "
— Geri, 1/24/2012" Fascinating. Hopeful. Be ready to concentrate as this was also a difficult read for me. Well worth it, however. "
— Debi, 9/29/2010" I can't write what I really thought of this book or people will think I believe in fairy dust and hobbits. Let's just say I like the results of the exercises I've done. "
— B, 2/25/2010" A scientific explanation of how our thoughts and intentions have exceptional power. "
— Ann, 8/10/2009" Made my head hurt, in a good way. If even a tiny bit of this book is true, we're all living our lives with blindfolds on. Despite the sadness of that, I hope she's right. "
— Brigitte, 7/18/2009" A scientific quantum physics approach to 'magical' thinking, 'the power of positive thinking', 'The Secret', 'think and grow rich', etc... We are all connected at the subatomic level and this explains why magic really does work. "
