The Holly Tree is a warm Christmas story by Charles Dickens and a listening treat for adults during the holiday season or almost any time of year. Full of wonderful Dickensian words, phrases, and irony. The story contains a strain of great truth, and love for Americans, who Dickens depicts over-friendly but warm, kindly, generous, and warm hearted. Many listeners have encouraged us to record more short stories rather than novels because they can listen to them on a walk, car ride, or at home in less than 90 minutes. "A nice Dickens Christmas Story especially Chapter 2. The only problem is this book dropped the last couple paragraphs, fortunately I had the story in another book." — Dad (4 out of 5 stars)

" A bit disappointed with this book particularly as I got it to read for a group discussion on Charles Dickens novels, later in the year, and when I read it found half of it wasn't even written by him! "
