David Birney is an American
actor and director whose career performances include both contemporary and
classical roles in theater, film and television. He has recorded numerous
audiobook bestsellers, including works by Dean Koontz, Paul Theroux, Annie
Dillard, Thomas Kenneally, and Orson Scott Card. His reading of Julie Salomon’s
The Christmas Tree was honored with the
prestigious Audie Award and has also been the recipient of several AudioFile Earphone
Awards.
Richard Kind is
an American actor known for his roles in television sitcoms, including Mad About You and Spin City.
Also a prominent voice actor, his work includes Disney’s Tom and Jerry: The Movie, A
Bug’s Life, Cars, and Cars 2. He lives in Santa Monica.
John Chancer is an award winning narrator of numerous audiobooks. He has performed in theaters on both sides of the Atlantic. Maxwell Caulfield is a film, stage, and television actor best known for his roles as Michael Carrington in the 1982 film Grease 2 and Miles Colby in the television shows The Colbys and Dynasty. Now a Grammy-winning audiobook producer, he has worked on more than five thousand audiobooks as a narrator, writer, producer, or director. He has narrated more than nine hundred audiobooks. A recipient of multiple AudioFile Earphones Awards, he was presented the coveted Audie Award for solo narration in 2005, 2007, and 2014, and was named one of AudioFile’s Golden Voices in 2012.
Theodore Bikel (1924–2015) was an award-winning stage and screen actor, an activist for civil rights and progressive causes worldwide, and a singer whose voice won him critical acclaim. Some of his credits include The Defiant Ones, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, and Fiddler on the Roof.
René Auberjonois is an American stage, film, television, and voice actor and an AudioFile Earphones Award–winning narrator. After graduating from Carnegie-Mellon University, he acted with various theater companies, including San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater and Los Angeles’ Mark Taper Forum. In 1969, he earned a Tony Award for his performance as Sebastian Baye alongside Katharine Hepburn in Coco. Since then, he has acted in a variety of theater productions, films, and television series, in addition to being active in radio drama.
James Langton, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and later as a musician at the Guildhall School in London. He has worked in radio, film, and television, also appearing in theater in England and on Broadway. He is also a professional musician who led the internationally renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra from 1996 to 2002.
