On June 1, 1956, the New York Times broke a story that captured the imagination of the world. Another Dead Sea Scroll had been found, unlike any before it, describing unimaginable treasures worth untold billions buried in the hills east of Jerusalem and under the Holy City itself.

In the years that followed, scholars came to believe that the copper scroll could be history's greatest treasure map, one that could not only lead to the treasures but pave the way to the building of the Third Jewish Temple.

But the scroll's code has never been broken, and experts from all sides warn that any effort by Israel to rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem would unleash a war of biblical proportions.

Now, exactly 50 years after the Copper Scroll was unveiled, New York Times best-selling author Joel C. Rosenberg takes you on his most exciting and heart-pounding ride yet.

Saddam Hussein is gone. Yasser Arafat is dead. A New Iraq is rising. Now White House advisors Jon Bennett and Erin McCoy find themselves facing a terrifying new threat triggered by an ancient mystery. Download and start listening now!

" Amazing, amazing, amazing. Rosenberg's prose is great, the suspense starts right away and doesn't let go till you're done. It's frightening how accurate some of this stuff could be. "

" I really this series by Rosenberg, though he's going to a conclusion, "the left behind" scenario I do not believe is going to happen. But the Bible and history interwoven in his stories and with all the happenings in the Middle East makes for a compelling series of stories. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Rick | 2/3/2014

" This is the 5th book I've read by him and my least favorite of the five. Much more far-fetched than his earlier fiction. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Christina | 1/31/2014

" This is the 4th book in this series, not my favorite but still action packed. Less prophecy in this book and more speculation about the end times. I'm amazed at how much research Joel puts into each book. "

" I'm all for trying books that are outside "my genres"... that's one of the reasons I like book groups. But I just couldn't do it on this one-- I got through the first 100 pages or so, and decided, meh, it's not for me. "

" So far so good. I wish I read the earlier books in the series first, because the whole setting is a bit confusing at the beginning. It action packed in one minute, then long lectures the next. Although it's holding my interest so far. "

" Light read, poorly written Christian light drama. Plot is simple and predictable. Christian experiences and positions are poorly developed and explained. Situations are not developed deeply, keeping the book short and fast reading. Written for a shallow audience. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Eric | 11/5/2012

" Another entertaining book from Mr. Rosenberg. I was not aware of the biblical prophesies he discussed in this book, but the story was compelling and kept my attention. Since I don't want to give away any of the plot I won't expound any more. I would highly recommend reading this series. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jenni | 8/24/2012

" I like this book a little more than the last one (Ezekiel's Option). However, it reads a little too much like the National Treasures or DaVinci Code (the treasure hunting, decoding theme). Can't wait to read the next one, Dead Heat, also the last one in the series. "

" My family and I were on a cruise ship on the inland coast of Alaska. Found this book in the ship's library. The first one that I had read by Joel Rosenberg. He certainly is tuned into prophecy and what God is doing today! "

" I was hooked from the very beginning. Joel Rosenberg has a wonderful talent of telling a story that draws you in and keeps you there. I was fascinated by the history in this book and how he seamlessly entwined the fiction so it was hard to tell the difference between the two. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Tiffany | 6/19/2009

" What an amazingly intriguing book. It involved all emotions. The plot was fast paced and mysterious. Biblical prophecy included in the twists and turns of adventure. Excellent book! I plan to read more of this author. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Diane | 3/18/2009

" Well, this is the 4th book in the series...and I still really like them. It's getting much more apocalyptical. (Is that a word?)..this one is aimed at the building of the third Temple. But it's a crazy pace...sort of like the Bourne Conspiracy. No falling asleep reading this one. "
