Christmas is fast approaching, and around the Inn, Suzy and Josie are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the holiday season with their friends and family. But when a box of puppies is dropped off on their doorstep on a frigid night, the chain of events that unfolds leads them straight to a murder and an illegal puppy mill that's operating in the area. And as they follow the trail, they’re drawn deep into a complex web that involves a rather unique international smuggling ring. With the help of Rooster, Suzy's longtime friend who's all too comfortable playing by his own rules, she and Josie find themselves in the middle of a major conspiracy and trying not to take things too personally. But given the fact that dogs are involved and at risk, that's easier said than done. The whole cast of characters is back for this rollicking adventure set against the backdrop of Christmastime in the Thousand Islands, and listeners should be prepared for a wild, and often cold and wintry, ride.
The Thousand Islands Doggy Inn Mysteries features two of the smartest and funniest lead female protagonists to hit the cozy mystery scene in a very long time, and Suzy and Josie's affection for food and their boundless love and devotion to their dogs puts this new series in the Don't Miss category. The Case of the Caged Cockers is another fast-paced and funny cozy mystery installment in this series that affectionately focuses on dogs, food, and the natural beauty of the Thousand Islands region.
