And as Jackson fights for his life and attempts to recover from the attack, Suzy's mom begins a new relationship she believes has the potential to go the distance. And if that weren't enough, when Chef Claire threatens to take a new job out of state, putting a serious damper on the quality of food served at the house, Suzy and Josie are pushed to their limits.

B. R. Snow is the author of the Thousand Islands Doggy Inn Mysteries, the Damaged Po$$e series, and the Whiskey Run Chronicles. He has also written two stand-alone novels: Either Ore and Divorce Hotel. His books have been praised for their intricate story lines, outstanding characters and dialogue, and their humor. In addition to his novels, he has two stage works to his credit: The Wyoming Kid (coauthored with M. P. Bernosky), a comic melodrama set in the Wild West that enjoyed a twelve-week run at the Sheridan Theatre in Sheridan, Wyoming; and a ninety-minute one-man show called A Brief History of Organizational Insanity that he wrote and performed at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, California.
