"This is the first title in the Charleston trilogy. Dinah Davis left home 10 years ago to follow her dream as a foreign correspondent. After she has a very bad experience, she quits her job and goes back home - hoping to marry a childhood sweetheart - her backup plan. Instead she ends up spending time with his brother, Cordell Beaufort, and he helps her to heal. Very good story"

" on audio. I liked this book, it was great on audio, I'm not sure it would have held my attention in paperback only because I am really busy. I "read" the entire book while painting a room and driving in my car to run errands. I actually looked forward to it! I really liked the characters and I'm looking forward to spending more time with them in the rest of the series. "

" Thought I'd never get through it. Did not like the main character, but that is not necessarily a bad thing as the writer did create a strong character. "

" I started this series out of order and read the second book first so it was nice to go back and see how the series began as well as revisit characters from book 2. I really enjoyed the story and thought the characters were great. Another typical Sherryl Woods story, which makes it a winner for me. "

" I like Sherryl Woods' books. They're good romances with actual plot and while the ultimate end is predictable, at least the plots aren't. This one had me teary at several points and several parts of it really had me thinking about life choices. Not bad for a trashy romance novel. "

" This was the first book of Sheryl Woods that I have read, and I am pretty sure it will be my last. I did not find the characters dialogue believable. It was all just a little too neat and tidy all the way through. And the set up at the end of the book for her next one seemed forced. "
