I sit and wonder what goes through the mind of a writer when mapping out a life for characters like this. Although this was my first book by Lipsyte, I would be interested to read more. "

And, once the class resentment becomes the main lens through which the narrator describes the story, it is hard to hang in for the thinly developed plot line. After making it through the first 150 pages, I resorted to skimming the rest and was glad I did. "
