She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

"While looking around for new books to read i fell onto this one and was very interested in the story and super natural element it has. So i started reading it and immediately fell in love, the characters are amazing!. Having all these "Dukes" (aka Demon's) with a specific sins was so intriguing and so much fun to read on. The whole story on how they have children with humans just so they lead other humans to sin is such a unique story line i haven't read anywhere else. The main character "Anna" is as sweet, good, caring as well as having a dark, rebellious and evil part to her that her half angel and half demon coincide always but as much as she is having to be taken care of most her life she learns quickly to defend herself. Having that immediate courage to stand for what is right, and not backing down. Her Love interest "Kaiden" is at first the typical bad boy but later on revealed to be much more with a horrible past that has left him incomplete in many ways, that Anna can't help but feel the need to help him which in turn makes him more interested in her for the very basic question "why?". The story keeps you guessing on what is going to happen with events that leave you feeling hopeful for the characters or scared for the characters. All in all a wonderful and fun book to read."

" I really enjoyed this book. I liked the different take on the Nephilim story lines and how each character has a job to influence people Kaidans influence of lust and Annas influence of substance abuse. I loved reading about the world in which Anna lives and finding out about each of the Dukes and their children. I liked a lot of the minor characters, Annas friend Jay and also Kopano and Marna. Kaidan is the character that really took my interest I loved him. I am excited to see what happens next in Sweet Peril. "

" I saw the trailer on YouTube and I knew I wanted to read it but then I forgot about it until a week ago and put it on hold and yesterday got it and read it. First, I liked Anna and her best friend Jay. He is a good friend, I thought he was gay at first but they were just friends they had no romantic feelings for each other. Kaiden is in a band. I have noticed that in a lot of Angel books but whatever. I love guys in bands. Kaiden was already suspicious when he first met Anna at his concert when she met him backstage. Of course he was being a dick to her. She was intrigued by him, anyone would. I loved the concept and how different it was than other book I've read. I will def re-read this again. Sweet Peril book two, comes out April 30th, 2013 "

" I put off reading this one because I hate the cover. HATE IT!!!!! And now that I've read the book, I hate it even more if that's even humanly possible. I can't even describe why I hate the cover, but I do. Truthfully, the book wasn't half bad. The characters were diverse and emotional I enjoyed it quite a bit. The content is quite a bit darker than a lot of other YA novels I've read and I found myself cringing a couple times but in these particular instances, it was talking about REAL evils in the world which is what made it cringe-worthy. The end was an interesting way to leave things so I will likely continue reading the series when the next one comes out (with hopefully a better cover). "
