Lili St. Crow won accolades and an impressive readership for her Dante Valentine series. With Strange Angels, St. Crow pens a young adult tale sure to raise hackles and wake the dead.

" This one was better than the second, but still inferior to the first. The pacing has been tidied up, but the author still seems to have that unfortunate affliction of over-detailing, mainly in the unimportant bits so as to make them appear more important. It's obviously an important chapter of the series if you're following it avidly, but those who were unimpressed with Betrayals (as I was) may not have felt compelled to continue reading the series. And while I find the storyline to be good, I can't help but feel that the ending of the series is going to be rather obvious. We will likely see an over-extended show-down scene in which she and numerous wulfen and djamphir take on Sergej and his acolytes and win... mainly because the story is told in first person, by Dru, and therefore she can't die. All the same, I am involved with the plot now and I must know how it ends, and whether my prediction is correct, so I will be reading the rest of the series. "

" I really like this book, this series, the characters, the setting, well everything but the heroine Dru. I know she is only sixteen, but dang she annoys the crap out of me. After book two ends, she is taken to the main Schola to be taught and trained, and most importantly to listen and find out anything she can about the traitors identity. So when she starts having visions/dreams about her mother, the past, and her mothers traitor.. Does she stop and say this might be useful, maybe I can stop the person who is trying to KILL me??? Nope she refuses to acknowledge it because it is too painful. Wonder if it was as painful as the bullet Anna shot her ass with?? Speaking of Anna, I am so glad she finally got what she deserved, only wish it would of happened sooner. And am I the only one creeped out by the fact that Christophe had a thing for Elizabeth, Dru's mother, and now has a thing for Dru? Graves, he is that boy that you should like, the one you know is good for you, and who will always be there. Why is it that those boys never have that spark of passion? Only the guys you shouldn't like, and know are bad for you have that. It's the reason I am single :) "
