Terry Goodkind returns to the epic Sword of Truth saga in a tale of sweeping fantasy adventure bound to enthrall his growing legion of fans. In Temple of the Winds, the New York Times bestselling fourth novel in the series, the Seeker of Truth Richard Rahl and Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell risked their lives and souls to free the land of D'Hara from the scourge of a magical plague. But in doing so they accidentally unleashed the Chimes, a magic whose threat will reach far beyond D'Hara.
Now it has become terrifyingly clear that the Chimes have the potential to bring down all that Richard and Kahlan have worked to protect, and even the power of the Sword of Truth may not be enough to stem the tide of their unleashed magical force. But if the Chimes cannot be stopped, first they will ravage Richard and Kahlan, then all of D'Hara, and then the entire world….

"If you have ever struggled with life, these books have some amazing life lessons build into the plot. I love Terry Goodkinds work, and despite being set in a different world and time, the topics in these books hit close to home. "

" Awesome book "
— Willard, 2/3/2018" Not my favorite in the series. But better than the last. I found a few inconsistencies that bothered me and I felt like there wasnt A LOT going on, but it was good character build now that I'm reading Faith of the Fallen. I notice Terry sometimes does this from one novel to the next and you sometimes just dont get something til a couple books later. Which is enjoyable but also annoying. I probably would have stopped reading these books honestly, but I already bought the whole series and now feel inclined to keep reading. I really do enjoy Richard's character even though I've read a lot people find him to "preachy." I really dont feel that way at all, I feel like his character most helps the reader understand the struggle that is occuring in the world of magic. I'm also really happy that Cara's character has been a main fixture, she's great comic relief and just a general badass which I really enjoy. I will admit I'm sort of over Sisters of the Light/Dark and Jagang altogether, and wish Terry would come up with a better antagonist, but what can you really do? I'm actually kind of glad Kahlan got beaten nearly to death and the story had to migrate away from that because its sort of boring and I really dont find dream walking all that an exceptional of an idea. Its just really easy to poke holes clean through. "
— Amber, 2/2/2014" A good story with a VERY abrupt ending. There also was a big eye roll Deus Ex Machina moment that I didn't like. "
— Mike, 2/1/2014" Not quite as good as the previous book "
— Ryan, 1/21/2014" These books are getting less interesting instead of more interesting... not the greatest sign when you're still only halfway through the entire series. But, so far, they've still been interesting enough to keep my attention and keep me reading. Not that that's a particularly impressive feat; once I've committed myself to a series, it takes some truly awful writing to get me to stop before the end. Still though... a little more effort would be nice... "
— Robert, 1/21/2014" Same as the others sword of truth books ! "
— Claude, 1/19/2014" This series really peaked with books 4 and 5 IMO, it was all down hill after this one. I couldn't even bring myself to bother with the last couple of books. Shame, the first 5 novels were great. "
— TheDenizen, 1/19/2014" There were too many parts in this chapter that I didn't particularly like and some of my favourite characters which hardly played a part in it. I still love some of the main characters quite dearly though, so I'll definitely be reading on to find out what happens to them next. "
— Cygny, 1/6/2014" Even though it sounds silly, the Chicken that isn't a chicken really gave me the creeps. The supporting characters of Ander added a good element to the story. "
— Yaseen, 1/2/2014" Oh, lookie! Another permutation of Atlas Shrugged! And the series had started off with such promise.... "
— Estro, 11/26/2013" It was a great book in this series in that it did not have any stupid prophecies. "
— Joe, 11/7/2013" It took me FOREVER to get through the audio book of this damn thing. Ugh. Soooo over it. I do still enjoy the book, however. "
— Andrea, 10/31/2013" Best book since the first. The libertarian side really shows up here. Read if you like fantasy and dislike hippies. "
— Rsoeffker, 10/31/2013" A lot of build up to an ending that felt rushed. Could have been so much better. An OK read but that is about all I can say. "
— Kelvin, 10/28/2013" Least good thus far. "
— Joan, 8/5/2013" I couldn't put down this book, i brought it everywhere with me, just incase i happened to get a chance to read. I pent every moment of my free time (and time that i shouldn't have been reading) reading it. SO GREAT!! "
— MATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, 2/18/2013" getting booring and repetetive.... "
— Stein, 9/30/2012" Don't always think inside the box. "
— Dallas, 3/12/2012" 2.5 stars. While a decent read, this fifth installment of the Sword of Truth series continues the let down in the overall quality of the series after the first 3 books. Richard and Kahlan remain memorable characters but not much else. "
— Stephen, 2/17/2012" It's a bit slow at the beginning. But I've learned that lying is awesome. "
— Blake, 1/20/2012" The great Sword of Truth story continues! "
— Angel, 1/4/2012" While an entertaining read, this one didn't feel very well-constructed. There's an inordinate amount of time spent on characters and settings that appear to be nothing more than throwaway political commentary. "
— Tommy, 10/31/2011" I'm still in it for this series. I think this book was a little bit better than the 4th one. There are a lot of new characters introduced, and the middle of the book drags on, but overall the story is good and is quick to read. "
— Rob, 7/19/2011" hmmm just liked it towards the end. I could not believe the mord sith followed the enemy all the way to the ends of the midlands from Aylindril "
— Yeni, 5/25/2011" One of my least favorite in the series. The author seemed to stretch everything to make the story work. "
— Carol, 5/18/2011" The chimes are loose; the Order advances; things turn darker. Creative magic banishes the chimes; people are left to the consequences of their actions.
"
— David, 5/12/2011" Good. Sometimes it seems kind of slow but, it can't be that slow because you look down and you've ready 150 pages. I'm ready for some more fighting and magic. "
— Jake, 5/6/2011" had less free time to read but almost as good as previous one "
— Helen, 3/31/2011" I think I just grew bored of the series to be honest... "
— Jesse, 3/31/2011" (Tom)

Good vs Evil Life vs Death
Richard(Wizard in training) and Kahlan(Mother Confessor) save THEIR world. "
— Toni, 3/29/2011" Fun and exciting sequel to Temple of the Winds. I enjoyed this one as much as I have enjoyed the rest of the Sword of Truth novels. Can't wait to begin the next one. "
— Vickie, 3/8/2011" This book was slower than the previous two. Like Stone of Tears, this book seemed to be setting up future books because it had to introduce new people and information. "
— Rachel, 2/25/2011" I think this was my favorite... such a poignant ending...I love Richard! "
— Janet, 2/16/2011" This book had the makings for an epic ending and just fizzled. "
