Publisher Description

The eleventh volume in the spine-tingling, best-selling Last Apprentice series. In Slither, Joseph Delaney takes us far from the county, to a land where a spook has never set foot and where terrifying creatures of the dark thrive. Slither is one of these monsters, and Book 11 is his tale.

Slither has never heard of Tom Ward, the Spook, or Alice Deane. He thirsts for blood. He takes it from whatever he wants, animal or human. And he has his eyes on the home of a farmer and his three daughters. With his dying breath, the farmer offers Slither a bargain. If Slither will take his two youngest daughters to safety, the eldest daughter is his. A journey of horrors begins . . . and along the way Slither will meet Grimalkin, who is still searching for a way to destroy the Fiend for good.

The eleventh volume in the series that inspired the major motion picture Seventh Son, starring Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and Ben Barnes.

"I think Clash of the demons is a very good book. It is one of the best books I have ever read, it was that good. This is the sixth book in a series. It is about a young man named Tom ward who is training to become a spook. A spook is a person that fights against "the dark", ( witchs and evil In the fourth book a whole bunch of witches bring the devil onto earth, and the only person that can truly defeat him is Tom. In this book Tom's mother rounds up a bunch of people to go to Greece to defeat this really powerful demon that is going to pass through a portal bringing an army with her. After a series of events it looks like its going to be all over and the de vil makes a deal with Tom and says he'll help Tom if Tom gives the devil his soul. It is a big decision for Tom. I will not tell his choice so don't spoil the story for anyone. I will be excited to see what happens next book in this series of books."

" This is the sixth book in The Last Apprentice series. Mam returns to the County and enlists the help of Tom, Alice, the County witches, and the Spook. The Ordeen, the most dangerous witch in the world, is about to arise from the Ord in Greece. If she is not destroyed, she and her followers will bring death and destruction to the entire world. Joseph Delaney introduces a new set of horrific, evil creatures for the forces of good to defeat. "

" A little more drawn out than the earlier books. The fantastic world and it's villains are widening and the end of the series and it's over-arching storyline seems to be winding up. Good and evil are becoming less clear all the time. "

" This book was okay. The dialogue is annoying at times. Why does Alice speak in fragmented sentences? I suppose it's Delaney's attempt to give each character his/her own, unique voice, but I find it distracting. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd rather see Tom go to the dark side. I think he'd be a much more interesting character if he had an attraction to the dark, like Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars. I like Grimalkin the most because she's no friend of the light but is willing to aid the heroes when it benefits her. I hope she's in future books. "

" In this Last Apprentice novel, Tom, the Spook, and several members of local witch covens find themselves on a ship bound for Greece. Tom's mother returned to the county to collect this motley crew in the hopes of banishing an evil so fierce that it could potentially destroy the world. Along the way, Tom learns the truth about who and what his mother really is and has to make decisions about how much he is willing to compromise himself as is forced more and more often to deal with "the dark." Another excellent contribution to the series. "

" The book was good. I recommend that you read this book. There was alot of action in this book with the characters attack the castle. There's one sad part which is Thomas has to leave his mother in the castle when it disappears. My favorite part was the ending when Thomas's mother fights the Ordeen. "

" Another round with Thomas Ward and the Spook. Each time the stakes are raised a bit higher. This time, Tom's Mam is back from Greece, and the news isn't good. Tom has to make some major decisions about his future and his allegiances, and the choices aren't clear. Good, creepy fun! "
