"It was a rather interesting book. She has placed everything in a very peculiar manner. I found it very interesting to read. Despite the many struggles throughout the book, the conclusion or how the case was unravel was well written and presented brilliantly. I look forward to reading more books by Lynda."

" A solid, well written procedural. DI Anna Travis is a well drawn character, bright, ambitious, but a bit too much of a loner to make her bosses happy. The case is high visibility and full of unappealing characters, the victim included. Anna's relationship (over, but with lingering after effects) with her brilliant, domineering boss Langton is still complicating things on a personal and professional level. "

" Silent Scream is another great police procedural from La Plante. When film star Amanda Delany is murdered, DI Anna Travis is charged with finding her killer. Anna has some personal issues to work through as well as dealing with a baffling case. "

" Too much came in at the end with this book the characters in between are fleeting & not interesting. If you've never read any of Linda's books it's probably an enjoyable read otherwise for me the style is predictable with Langton keeping my interest throughout. "
