"I don't think that I could have asked for a better continuation to the series. The characters continued to grow from the last book, and many of the characters had no idea where the others were or what they were doing. Most assumed that the others were dead even though the reader knew that they were alive. It was nice to see an author manage to keep all of the story lines straight, without making it easier by everyone knowing all."

" One of the best middle-books-of-a-trilogy I've ever read. Kept my attention the whole time. There was, however, a little too much in the sphere of politics for my liking. Gimme blood! "
— Traci, 2/8/2014" Awesome book. If you read the first one ( which I recomended) then you absolutely need to read this one. It just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. "
— Christian, 2/1/2014" maybe because i understand the geo-political landscape better and am more familiar with the characters and their relation to each other, but i found this one to be much better than the first. "
— Lauren, 2/1/2014" Great book. Looking forward to reading the final book in the series. "
— Traci, 1/29/2014" This is book 2 of The Night Angel trilogy. I was eager to start this book because of the ending in the last, but it was a little slow in the beginning. And then all of a sudden it gets interesting and I'm done with the book. Awesome series. Highly recommended. I think I have discovered my genre. "
— Leilani, 1/5/2014" I don't know why I keep reading this series. The characters are underdeveloped and have completely obscure motivations, the plot twists are contrived, and there is a stupid gender essentialism throughout the book. It's not even trashy enough to file under that category. "
— Teresa, 1/2/2014" Loads of fun. Great series! "
— Abby, 10/16/2013" I enjoyed this book, but not as much as I enjoyed the first in the trilogy. In this book, far more so than in the first book, the jumping point-of-view in the storytelling is threw me off a bit. I think Weeks does it a lot more often in this one. "
— terpkristin, 8/14/2013" Came into this book straight from book 1 and couldn't help feeling the despair of the situation. Yet couldn't help but hope. Couldn't put it down. "
— Caline, 7/3/2013" One of the most exciting, gritty, grimy, thriller series I have come across!! "
— Jacob, 6/12/2013" This book was a little slower than the first. But I absolutely love the main characters. "
— Elizabeth, 12/18/2012" Shadow's edge was quite good. The author's style in these is still not top on my list but I like the story and the characters. This was more enjoyable to read than the first book and I am definitely looking forward to the next. "
— Eric, 10/16/2012" Fantastic book and better than the first "
— Jason, 9/15/2012" Based solely on how I devour these books, this would be a clear five, but there are some tiny little annoyances that wear on my suspension of disbelief and drag it down two four. "
— Bjørnar, 9/11/2012" Normal kind of story. Lack in character development. "
— Duong, 6/27/2012" The first book in the series was good. This one blew the first one out of the water. Couldn't put it down. "
— Kevin, 3/4/2012" Great book not as good as the first but close. Just don't like how the author just tosses in new characters whenever convienent even if later it works nicely. "
— Brian, 12/14/2011" Great continuation of the story! "
— Keith, 8/10/2011" This book was so awesome I read it in a day. It's like 500+ pages. And I worked 8 hours that day. "
— Nicholas, 6/23/2011" Just when you thought Kylar had everything he could ever want, life throws a new twist... "
— Mathew, 6/11/2011" An exceptional read with riveting action and relationships. Enough magic and otherworldliness to keep my eyes glued to the pages. "
— pooka, 5/27/2011" Shadow's edge was quite good. The author's style in these is still not top on my list but I like the story and the characters. This was more enjoyable to read than the first book and I am definitely looking forward to the next. "
— Eric, 5/22/2011" This was action-packed and emotional. The world building is fantastic and the characters, whether good or evil, are all fully realized. I'm looking forward to the last book. "
— Lynda, 5/14/2011" Way too many POV switches. I would have liked the book much more from just Kylar's POV. "
— LaserWraith, 5/10/2011" Think this is my favorite of the 3 books. Very fast paced with lots of action. "
— Amber, 5/8/2011" The thing with this whole series is that it annoys me to no end. Can't anyone die and stay dead??? "
— Valentina, 5/6/2011" Nope. I don't care what happens to these people! when Eurovision sounds like the better option, that's when it's time to go and read something else ;) "
