“His prose mesmerizes…Koontz consistently hits the bull’s-eye.” –Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Rachel's request for a quick and clean divorce enraged her husband. She’d never seen Eric so angry, so consumed by pure and terrifying hatred. Then, in the heat of the moment, Eric was killed in a traffic accident. Shocked and relieved, Rachel had nothing left to fear. Until Eric's body disappeared from the morgue—and suddenly, Rachel is being stalked by someone who looks just like her dead husband.

"For being a book by an author I'm not the hugest fan of and a subject matter that is a little too science fiction for my taste this was a pretty good book. However, there were a few parts where the writing lagged and/or lacked description. Other than that, a really good read and a real page turner."

" Written by Dean Koontz when he was Leigh Nichols. One of his first books and rather a nasty, scifi horror story! I wasn't expecting that. "

" It's typical Dean Koontz- suspenseful, funny in places, dumb in places but as usual a lot of fun to read. It's about a woman who is divorcing her tyrant husband, and he finds a way to cheat Mother Nature. "

" Pretty good story, and pretty good characters. I don't regret reading it, but I didn't love it either. It lacked that special Dean-Koontz-story magic that some of his other awesome books, like "Phantoms" and the "Odd Thomas" series, have much more of. "

" I always enjoy reading Dean Koontz. This book was an older one of his writings, and more on the "horror" side of science fiction. I found myself skippiing paragraphs because they were overly wordy and descriptive. All in all, it was a good read, but not one of his best. "

" Enjoyable. I usually enjoy Dean Koontz' novels. I like the fact that his characters have a moral viewpoint that they are willing to sacrifice for. I also like the sometimes harrowing, but generally happy endings. I know the real world isn't always fair. That's why I read fiction. "

" He has the ability to build up the story. I would have to say that toward the middle and to the end I thought it seemed a little too far fetched. I dislike how fast it ends as well. He should make the suspense last longer. "

" I think I'm just tired of Dean Koontz. Way too much detail. I found myself skimming whole pages just to try to get to the action. Tired of the moral issues lurking in the background and the good vs. evil sub plot. "
