"I know that the Scarecrow books can be read as stand alone novels which is great, but if you read the first two(Icestation and Area 7) it is like a special reward as you read Scarecrow because you see previous characters pop up throughout the book and you can better understand their significance."

" INTENSE! Non-stop action, surprises around every corner, on the edge of my seat until the last word! One TINY little thing bugged me, Reilly uses the phrase "For his part..." or "For her part..." way too often, but that just a minor irritation amidst a great book. "

" Another riveting Matthew Reilly affair....although this one almost made me cry! Didn't think he was ballsy enough to kill off his hero's love interest, but he did. Violently. And then he almost had his hero commit suicide. Twice. Mind-blowing! "

" I tried to read Scarecrow by Matthew Reilly, but I found the action a bit too unbelievable. Things like describing how thick and solid a table is, but the good guys can easily stab a knife through it while sliding along it towards a window to certain death. It doesn't matter how many bad guys there are, the good guys get away too easily. "

" Another great Scarecrow book. This one, like Ice Station, would make a great movie. There was one character who died that I was shocked to see. Reilly leaves no character safe. I really don't know how he slams so much action into a book and still maintains the suspension of disbelief. "

" I love the fast pace of this book and the continuation of the character Shane Schofield who reminds me of the main character John McClane out of the Die Hard movies. Some say it is too far fetched, but it is fiction after all! Love a writer who has an imagination. "

" Unfortunately, I did poor research and thought this was the first in the series instead of the third book. I must say I loved it and am now looking for the rest of the series so I can start from the beginning. Fast paced, in depth, and very cool. I particularly liked The Black Knight. "
