Publisher Description

Road Rage unites Richard Matheson's classic Duel and the contemporary work it inspired—two power-packed short stories by three of the genre's most acclaimed authors. Duel, an unforgettable tale about a driver menaced by a semi truck, was the source for Stephen Spielberg's acclaimed first film of the same name. Throttle, by Stephen King and Joe Hill, is a duel of a different kind, pitting a faceless trucker against a tribe of motorcycle outlaws, in the simmering Nevada desert. Their battle is fought out on twenty miles of the most lonely road in the country, a place where the only thing worse than not knowing what you're up against, is slowing down . . .

"Two great stories by two of my favorite authors, Richard Matheson and Stephen King, and Joe Hill (who is Stephen King's son), who I am just now "getting to know." The stories were short, edge-of-your-seat, OMFG, wide-eyed misadventures of road raging truck drivers. Good stuff! "

" I only have "Throttle" half the book, but since Kindle books aren't supported...this is my work around....I liked this better then most shorts, but *really* shorts are just not my thing..... "

" Special audio only version with Matheson's classic story "Duel" (which was made into a TV movie by Stephen Spielberg) and "Throttle" by Joe Hill and Stephen King. Both stories were very good though "Duel" was a bit less graphic. Read by Stephen Lang. "

" Duel by Matheson is a classic short story that was the basis for Steven Speilberg's first movie. King and his son Hill take their own shot at the same plot with Throttle. The contrast is amazing. What a neat writing exercise. "

" Probably not the best book to read/listen to on a road trip. I eyed everyone on the road with suspicion, afterwards. Great Hill/King collaboration. "

" WOOTWOOTWOOT!! Stephen King and son Joe Hill's [named after THE JH:] nod to Matheson is most excellent. Bikers, rather than Matheson's salesman, give us a less subtle - but very effective - message. The irony in the ending is twistier than both deadly roads combined. "
