Philippa Fisher is just your average eleven-and-a-half-year-old girl—she’s a bit shy and not the most popular girl at school. But all that changes one day when a new girl named Daisy arrives at school and reluctantly confesses that she is Philippa’s very own fairy godsister.

Unfortunately for Philippa, Daisy is one fairy who is not too fond of humans, and so she isn’t pleased about having to help Philippa. In fact, she wants nothing more than to grant Philippa her three wishes quickly so that she can move on to a new assignment.

However, things aren’t that simple. Philippa and Daisy just can’t seem to get along, and Philippa’s wishes keep making her life worse rather than better. Will Philippa and Daisy be able to come together to solve the mess they’ve created before it’s too late?

" I didn't like this book at all, but I'm giving it two stars in honor of the little girls who may read it. The plot and the characters are boring and overdone. The three wishes plot has no surprises. Frankly, I had no desire to finish the book. But (here comes the disclaimer!) I know a lot of little girls who love fairy books and won't care that this idea has been done before or that the characters are kind of flat. They'll read it just because it has a fairy. "

About the Author
Author Liz KesslerLiz Kessler's first book, The Tail of Emily Windsnap, was published in ten countries. Of Emily Windsnap and Monster from the Deep, she says, "I always knew that Emily's story wasn't finished at the end of the first book. I really wanted to explore the idea of an island where humans and merfolk lived together in peace. I also knew that there was a detail I was missing. Then I happened to see an in-flight video about a theme park with a ride called the Kraken, and I instantly knew that this creature was the missing ingredient." Liz Kessler lives on a canal boat in the countryside just outside Manchester, England, where she is working on her third book, Emily Windsnap and the Castle in the Mist.
