"Meet the new Bridget Jones." —PopSugar Daily
"A light and funny read. If you've ever felt like your life wasn't going the way you'd planned, then you can't help but connect with Waverly's tale." —Becky Lejeune for Bookbitch.com
Anything can look perfect on paper. When her fiance calls off their wedding at the last minute, Waverly Bryson wonders if her life will ever turn out the way she thought it would...or should. Her high-powered job in sports PR? Not so perfect. Her relationship with her dad? Far from it. Her perfect marriage? Enough said. To keep sane, Waverly makes a habit of jotting down "Honey Notes," her own brand of self-deprecating wisdom and a pipe-dream for a line of greeting cards.
As Waverly stumbles back into the dating scene (no stalkers or jean shorts, please), her personal and professional lives threaten to collide. Perfect on Paper reminds us that everyone has a bad date (or twelve), and that everyone eventually needs a best friend to tell them, "Honey, you are not alone."

"I can laugh at this book because I recognize everything in it. The awesome friends who laugh with (and at) you; the not-so-awesome job future; a love life fraught with disaster; and a completely dysfunctional family. That describes both my life and the book. That's part of the appeal of Ms. Murnane's books. Waverly Bryson so doesn't have it all together, and it's through her (mis)adventures that we see that it can be okay to not have it all together, something I think a lot of women today struggle with. Perfect on Paper, It's a Waverly Life, and Honey on your Mind are all fun, light-hearted reads that always make me feel better by the end!"

" so far, it's pretty good for what it is - mindless chick book. "
— Amanda, 2/20/2014" This book was free for me, so as a free book, it was very good, surprisingly. It started off shaky, not funny, but then all of a sudden 30% into it, it became hilarious and entertaining. The witty banter between friends was really funny and the Honey notes were awesome. The disasterous dates were great to read. The unglamourous to glamourous lifestyle in 60 seconds was unbeliveable and deducted points for me because it went from real life to surreal. Jake was a one dimensional character, he really didn't do it for me even though Waverly kept on talking about his blue eyes, that and his career was the only thing he has during this book. Hopefully in the next, he'll be more multi-dimensional, interesting. Their relationship;however, wasn't the main point of the book, it was more about Waverly and coping with being single. Overall, fun read and will continue reading the series. "
— Nina, 2/10/2014" Slow at points. Ending enjoyed, had a bit or a twist but nothing that was amazing. Over all and OK read "
— Wendi, 2/10/2014" This book is funny!!! Great book!!! "
— Sandy, 2/8/2014" Such a cute, relatable story. Laugh out loud funny. "
— Nic, 2/7/2014" I loved this book. It made me laugh and into the first two pages i wanted to beat up Aaron. This book is amazing. The main character goes through making these "Honey Notes" and in the process she finds herself and comes to terms with being single only to fall for a hot NBA trainer. Again Awesome! :) "

— Iris, 1/17/2014" This was a fun, comic romp. I laughed out loud and commiserated more then I'd like to admit. A good vacation or beach read. "
— Heather, 1/11/2014" Cute, but I kinda felt like the last few pages came out of left field... Nice to shut my brain off for a bit, but I can do that with better written novels too! "
— Meryl, 12/22/2013" Hilarious! Listened to the 11-hour, unabridged audiobook during holiday travels. The book didn't lose its funny. And the narrator, Julia Whelan, is an absolutely first-rate choice to voice these characters. "
— Laura, 12/20/2013" Cute, mindless chick lit :) "
— Rebecca, 12/12/2013" Laugh out loud funny parts in this book... A cute, funny, easy read. "

— Scorpio_mom, 10/27/2013" This was a quick read, and having just had a baby, right up my alley! I enjoyed the style of writing--it was different and more "modern" than I'm used to. I laughed out loud several times and loved the "Honey" notes! "
— Kara, 10/27/2013" Great chic- lit and light read. Loved Waverly! "
— Gemma, 9/18/2013" Such a fun and quick read! Found this one as a $3.99 Kindle book and read it in 24 hours. I love that the main character, Waverly, was friendly and relatable in how she narrated the book. Hysterically funny and a poignant picture of friendships, dating, and life as you hit 30. Great for vacation! "
— Mandy, 7/27/2013" I really must stop being sucked in by cheap books on Kindle. "
— Peg, 2/23/2013" Cute little "chick flick" "
— ReneeB, 2/12/2013" Total fluff, but I loved it because this woman clearly was a single woman in SF and was right on the mark on all of her descriptions. "
— Elana, 12/30/2012" This book was a quick, lighthearted read. a good beach book. "
— Christine, 12/3/2012" Just your average chick-lit story. The "honey notes" were particularly annoying after the first 25 pages or so. "
— Rita, 10/13/2012" I totally loved this book. It was a feel good chick-lit with a happy ending. What more could you ask for? I cannot wait to get the sequel! "
