Michelle Segar, PhD, MPH is a behavioral sustainability scientist, the director of the Sport, Health, and Activity Research and Policy Center (SHARP) at the University of Michigan, and Chair of the U.S. National Physical Activity Plan’s Communications Committee. Her award-winning research investigates new messages and systems to foster the consistent decision making and autonomous motivation that underlie sustainable health-related behavior, fitness, health,and well-being.
