William Walker
Atkinson (1862–1932) was a leading figure in the nineteenth-century New
Thought movement, which is the foundation of many of our current New Age
beliefs. He turned to the principles of New Thought after experiencing a
mental, physical, and financial breakdown. He wrote extensively, under several pseudonyms,
and he was most likely all three of the Initiates credited with the writing of The Kybalion. His works continue to
influence today’s New Age thinkers.
