Kate Svenson is attractive, successful, a brilliant businesswoman - and miserable. After three failed engagements, she realizes it's time for a PLAN...an organized, detailed agenda with a clear goal: finding Mr. Right.

The Cabins resort is ripe with eligible bachelors, all rich, distinguished and ambitious - just her type. And they're dropping like flies around her...at least, that's how Jake Templeton views the situation. After he's stuck pulling her latest reject out of the swimming pool, Jake's convinced this femme fatale is trouble. Especially for him.

But can a man who's sworn off ambition for good and a woman hanging from the top of the corporate ladder find common ground in the unpredictable territory called the heart, where the word proposal takes on a very different meaning? Download and start listening now!

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Fran | 6/29/2013

" Her first book. Jennifer Crusie has great characters that always have fun adventures. This one, while it does not have quite the crazy adventures of her later novels, is a fun read and still has great characters. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Robin | 3/6/2013

" Read this in one day. She writes complete fluff, but it's such fun fluff! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Shoshana | 2/8/2013

" Just re-read this for the second or third time. Still love it. Still want to go lie on a lake under a willow on a sunny day and drink beer with a hot guy, although he could lose the mustache. For a first book, it sure is something. "

" Jennifer Crusie is one author that I choose when I want something romancey but not overwhelmingly so. One downside to her novels is that there is usually some weird murder/death that happens and kind of changes the direction of the book. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Mare | 7/27/2012

" Ms. Crusie is a fabulous and consistant author. I always enjoy her books and Manhunting was no exception. It was the usual good time with delightfully quirky characters. "

" 3.5 Stars, A cute story to listen to...warning there are some steamy romance parts that had me blushing...maybe i shouldn't have listened to this at work?? LOL any way i enjoyed it!! One of the characters (narrated) Penny sounded like Frenchy from Grease :-) "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Photojim | 2/6/2012

" Pretty standard fare. Light and fluffy like most of Crusie's work. Not as humorous as her characters usually are. A little less believable as well. A solid three stars. I liked it. I've read worse. But then again, I've read better too. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 JJ | 1/21/2012

" This book reminded me of the "First Love by Silhouette" series that I read in the 80s, except the characters were in their 30s, not teens. It was predictable, but still a good read. It ended stronger than it began, which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Joan | 5/10/2011

" I really enjoyed this story. I laughed out loud with the dialogue between H and h. These two people were real and the plot kept me turning the pages to see how they were going to resolve their relationship. I look forward to each Jennifer Crusie book that I read. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Heather | 5/9/2011

" Another great read from the magnificent author Jennifer Crusie! I love the way she writes. You get to see the story from two sides. Usually the Male main Character and the Female Main character! I like knowing how each feels about certain sitations! I can't wait to read another book by her!
    "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Tara | 4/23/2011

" Kate Svenson & Jake Templeton
Her best friend makes a list of shallow qualities Kate wants in a husband and she goes to a golf resort to find him. Finds lazy Jake instead who likes to sleep in rowboats. He also injures all her other dates. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Elizabeth | 4/11/2011

" Book club book, review later. But I'll say this much: Probably this is more like 2.5 because I've read much worse, but I'm not sure it deserves 3 stars. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Shana | 3/30/2011

" There is a reason why I don't read romance... but hey, I joined the work bookclub in order to stretch my reading a bit. I am definitely still not a fan of the genre. I will discuss particulars at our meeting. "
