HER PERFECT LIFE IS A PERFECT LIE.
As a teenager at the prestigious Bradley School, Ani FaNelli endured a shocking, public humiliation that left her desperate to reinvent herself. Now, with a glamorous job, expensive wardrobe, and handsome blue blood fiancé, she’s this close to living the perfect life she’s worked so hard to achieve.
But Ani has a secret.
There’s something else buried in her past that still haunts her, something private and painful that threatens to bubble to the surface and destroy everything.
With a singular voice and twists you won’t see coming, Luckiest Girl Alive explores the unbearable pressure that so many women feel to “have it all” and introduces a heroine whose sharp edges and cutthroat ambition have been protecting a scandalous truth, and a heart that's bigger than it first appears.
The question remains: will breaking her silence destroy all that she has worked for—or, will it at long last, set Ani free?

"Can you hate a character and still pity them? That is the only way I can describe my feelings for the main character. The book as a whole ~ twisted! "
— Jennifer Macken (4 out of 5 stars)
“The perfect page-turner to start your summer.”

— Glamour“Dark, twisty…razor-sharp writing…propulsive prose…[The] reveal is a real doozy.”—EW
— Entertainment Weekly“With a singular voice and twists you won’t see coming, Luckiest Girl Alive explores the unbearable pressure that so many women feel to ‘have it all’ and introduces a heroine whose sharp edges and cutthroat ambition have been protecting a scandalous truth and a heart that’s bigger than it first appears.”
— BookBub.com, 1 of 9 Books That Are So Much More Than the Next Gone Girl“With the cunning and verve of Gillian Flynn but with a febrile intensity all its own, Jessica Knoll’s Luckiest Girl Alive is a debut you won’t want to miss. Sly, darkly funny and chilling-to-the bone, it gets under your skin and stays there.”
— Megan Abbott, author of Dare Me and The Fever“At turns funny, shocking, violent and heart-rending, Luckiest Girl Alive hooks its reader and doesn’t let go. Jessica Knoll’s twisted, twisting debut beautifully explores reinvention, retribution and redemption—and all the rawness in between.”
— Miranda Beverly-Whittemore, author of Bittersweet“The most compelling debut novel I’ve read in years! Luckiest Girl Alive is intriguing, surprising, and even shockingly funny at times. And Ani FaNelli is a complex, heartbreaking, and unforgettable heroine.” — John Searles, author of Help for the Haunted
— John Searles, author of Help for the Haunted" I did not take to the main character. At all. I was sure when I read the synopsis that it would involve something much darker, that the character had been thru something that changed her...actually she did, but for some reason, i was expecting her to be hiding a dark secret and to be evil as a result. I thought she was boring and dull. I don't know how to say this but I was disapointed that that was all there was to her. The story just seemed to be missing something and as a result, I just didnt care what happened to her. sorry folks! "
— Marie, 10/31/2017" Pity is all I felt throughout this book. Kinda of ruined it for me. There was no redeeming characteristics about the main character. She was "disgusting" throughout and never seemed to learn anything from her mistakes. Also I had trouble following in what time frame I was listening. Basically, I didn't really like the book at all. Probably won't write Jessica Knoll for future works, but this one didn't do it for me. "
— Linda C, 8/7/2017" Amazing book. So entertaining. Loved listening to it on a long car ride. "
