How do you know if you've found the one? Can you really love the one you're with when you can't forget the one who got away? Emily Giffin, author of the New York Times bestselling novels Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Baby Proof, poses these questions—and many more—with her highly anticipated, thought-provoking new audio novel Love the One You're With. Ellen and Andy's first year of marriage doesn't just seem perfect, it is perfect. There is no question how deep their devotion is, and how naturally they bring out the best in each other. But one fateful afternoon, Ellen runs into Leo for the first time in eight years. Leo, the one who brought out the worst in her. Leo, the one who left her heartbroken with no explanation. Leo, the one she could never quite forget. When his reappearance ignites long-dormant emotions, Ellen begins to question whether the life she's living is the one she's meant to live. At once heartbreaking and funny, Love the One You're With is a tale of lost loves and found fortunes—and will resonate with anyone who has ever wondered what if.

"imo, this is the best of all emily giffin books. while you feel like screaming at the main character all the way through, you can also get into her head and feel how torn she is.... i think something interesting about her novels is that while they're always about "love" they're also always very insightful about female relationships. also - I love the ending of this book too. very very good."
— B (5 out of 5 stars)
“In every case, [Kathleen] McInerney's reading conveys exactly what the text calls for. This excellent production brings out the best in the book.
— Publishers WeeklyI truly don't see myself ever getting tired of Giffin's books – her characters are so authentic, the situations she puts them in are difficult by real, and the writing is very intelligent but funny at the same time…The audio was done very well and I would definitely recommend this one.
— Book Addiction[A] wry twist on the classic relationship deal-breaker.
— New York TimesWhen it comes to writing stories that resonate with real women, bestselling author Emily Giffin has hit her stride. [Baby Proof] examines the great lengths people go for each other, and is filled with great female characters.
— San Francisco Chronicle" Not too bad. Her other books were better. Good, easy beach read, but story line is a little far-fetched. "
— Amy, 2/9/2014" We can not have it all, gratitude is the most live saving in this delicate life. The grass is actually not greener outside our fence, it's only matter of mending and mowing our life garden then we can start to love the one you are with or have. A consoling novel. "
— Deni, 1/22/2014" Emily Giffin: Very Distracting. I read two of her books last summer in an attempt to distract myself from stress, and she remains good at doing that. "
— Becca, 12/31/2013" I wasn't expecting to like this book (I generally get very frustrated by this author's characters), but I did like it. I can't really say much without giving away the whole plot, because it is not very complex, so I will leave it at that. "
— Jenny, 12/22/2013" Just not the same as her other books; didn't enjoy nearly as much for so reason. Is it me? Is it the author? I have no idea! "
— Andrea, 12/21/2013" Really enjoyed this book and the complexities of being in love with two very different people, and the moral dilemma of trying to do what is right using your mind, but only wanting to do what is wrong, which is what the heart wants. I was a tad disappointed how it ended, but it was still a good read. "
— Selena, 12/17/2013" You can't get over your ex? Read this book! "
— Shobihatus, 12/17/2013" Perfect light bus reading :) "

— Sheena, 10/20/2013" I liked this book, great read. "
— Rene', 9/13/2013" It was ok. I don't think it's one of her best books, definately enjoyed the other 3 more. "
— Nadine, 9/8/2013" Love Giffin's style of writing, which makes the book enjoyable. Another great beach read. "
— Neha, 9/7/2013" I found it hard to have sympathy for the main character. It was like she was looking for drama in her perfect rich life. "
— Desiree, 7/21/2013" pretty ok... not as good as Something Borrowed. "
— Ritu, 2/24/2013" Great book and great author! "
— Amy, 2/23/2013" Have tried to read this book on a number of occasions. There's just not. much. there. "
— Jillian, 11/19/2012" I was a little put off for about 2/3 of the book, but loved the ending! "
— Kelly, 11/3/2012" It was predictable but fun. I finished it. If it sucked, I wouldn't finish. I refuse to force myself to read anything I don't like. That being said, I wanted to slap the main character silly because she was acting like an idiot. She was her own worst problem. But overall it was alright. "
— Aimee, 8/15/2012" I couldn't put the book down but I only gave it three stars because I wish there was more dialogue between Ellen and Andy and Ellen and Leo. There was a lot of character development of Ellen but I wish there had been more between her and the guys. "
— Heather, 5/9/2012" An easy chick lit book. "
— Melanie, 5/9/2012" Have enjoyed all of Emily Giffin's books, except one. Forced myself to finish it. For me it was not evens fast read. A friend, who also read it, had the same issues. We decided we just did not care much for the central characters or what happened to them. "
— Barbara, 4/12/2012" Ok I don't want to talk about what just happened here but I read four Emily Giffin books in a row and I'm not sorry. "
— Hannah, 2/7/2012" Another page-turner by Giffin! Loved the emotion, the raw emotion she evokes. I was surprised at the ending but really liked it. There was a lot of character growth, which I loved. Not as good for me as Something Borrowed and Something Blue, but still a great read! "
— Kelli, 7/18/2011" pretty good story line...characters all seemed a little shallow, tho.. "
— Maureen, 6/2/2011" I really enjoyed this book and it actually made me think. It was a bit slow at parts, but definitely worth reading! "
— Fabulous, 5/19/2011" Touching, realistic, and well written story told by two women...one who was the wife, the other who had an affair with that wife's husband. I didn't want to put it down. "
— Carol, 5/19/2011" Really good chick-lit; intelligent and insightful characters. Not the pulp I expected by the cover. "

— Emily, 5/16/2011" I couldn't put this book down because I wanted to know what happened. There are parts of the book where I felt like I needed to talk to someone about what was happening. "
— Carrie, 5/15/2011" I liked the characters and found them believable, but the story line became old about half-way through. "
— Nancy, 5/14/2011" Good read, wonder why Emily centers so much around cheating spouses but then what would make the story so interesting if people just lived a boring life :) I liked the ending "
— Tammy, 5/14/2011" I usually love Emily Giffin books but I didn't like this one at all. It was a little to serious for my liking, I prefer a more light-hearted story. <br/> "
