"Lothario is as unlikeable as a hero gets and yet I love him. This book is one of those books where you get to know a character and really root for them to get a freaking clue. Not to be outdone, the heroine goes from a feisty girl held prisoner to a kick-butt Valkerie I wouldn't want to go up against. I completely recommend this book to anyone who likes to get cozy with the characters. It's different than most of my reads, but no less enjoyable for it."

“This series just keeps getting better and better as Kresley has created a unique and engaging paranormal world. Her books are always guaranteed to bring laughs, tons of action, and very sexy romance.”
— USA Today“How do you make the crazy, arrogant and ruthless archvillain of a series a hero? With great difficulty! Yet Cole pulls it off splendidly in her latest Immortals After Dark offering. It helps that most of the Immortal Lore are none too sane and all pretty bloodthirsty, yet Lothaire, the Enemy of Old, is a cut above. While keeping Lothaire’s hardcore personality intact, Cole manages to find an unusual heroine for him. Cole outdoes herself!”
— RT Book Reviews" Love this book "
— Kristol Anderson, 4/11/2021" This is the twelfth book in Kresley Cole's Immortal's After Dark series. It was interesting listening to it instead of reading it. I did like it in that the story was really good although the narrator didn't do woman's voices very well. The story was good enough to make me keep going all the way through. It was nice to get more of Nix and I'm really hoping that Nix is the next one to get a story. It's time to go back to the Valryki. "
— Robin, 2/10/2014" There aren't many authors who can make a narcissistic, murdering, a$$hole into a romantic male lead - but Ms. Cole is one of them. So much dry humor, sarcastic one liners and exquisite characterization. Lothaire is full of great moments, and is a strong addition to her Immortals After Dark series. I would suggest that Lothaire not be read without reading the prior books in the series, but otherwise I enthusiastically recommend it. "
— Becca, 2/4/2014" I absolutely loved this book! I'm so in love with Lothaire! "
— Jennifer, 2/3/2014" I love Lothaire! He was funny in this book, and not quite as evil as he would like you to believe. This book tied a lot of the main characters pasts together and gave the readers a hint on who Nix's mate may be. I was also surprised to meet one of Lothaire's estranged relatives. "
— Ashlie, 1/26/2014" By far one of my favorite books from Kresley Cole, I coudln't wait for Lothaire's book to come out! "
