USA TODAY bestselling author Colleen Coble delivers romance and suspense in a beautiful West Texas setting.
Five years ago, Shannon Astor left the beautiful high-mountain country of West Texas as a single mother. She was desperate for a fresh start and a way to keep the secrets of her past buried. It almost worked.
Until a chance to make a better life for her daughter leads her right back home. To the very place of the past betrayals.
But it also leads Shannon to horse-trainer Jack MacGowan--her handsome high-school nemesis, now a widowed father. His daughter looks so startlingly like her own that Shannon can't help but question the circumstances surrounding her daughter's birth. Wary of each other's intentions, Shannon and Jack reluctantly join forces to untangle a deep mystery that swirls around Shannon's parents, a lost Spanish treasure, and a legendary black stallion.
If Shannon can learn to entrust her secrets to the man falling in love with her, the truth just might set her free.

"It took me a while to pick up & read Lonestar Secrets by Colleen Coble but once I did, I was not disappointed. Mystery and intrigue are introduced in the very first chapter which makes it a hard book to put down. The plot line could have made for a very predictable book but Coble's wonderful writing drew me into twist after twist. Yet another enjoyable delve into mystery, romance, intrigue, treasure & great family values. You won't be disappointed!"

— Melanie, 2/15/2014" I loved this story with Jack McGowan and how he and the mother of his child finally found one another and fell in love after getting married , unusual story, Mom of twins and she thought one lost and finally found her again.....A twin girl that would not beleive her sister was gone.... "
— Paula-O, 2/8/2014" Sequel to Lonestar Sanctuary. Another quick, light, romantic read. "

— Arielle, 1/25/2014" Great book. Getting ready to read Lonestar homecoming. "
— Donna, 1/23/2014" I read this right after reading Lonestar Sanctuary because it's a series and I like to read an entire series in a row if possible. The stories are so similar it's ridiculous. If it hadn't been a part of the series I likely would have enjoyed it more because it wouldn't have seemed so similar. "
— Megan, 1/15/2014" Christian fiction. A series of 3 books (can all stand alone). All about marriages of convenience. Quick read. Mystery. Liked them. "
— Sha, 11/28/2013" I liked this book. If you get mad at the characters like I did, then it must be good. I kept yelling at the characters because they were a bit stubborn. I kept wishing they would give in just a little bit. "
— Jackie, 11/22/2013" Predictable romance. Decent mystery. Nice escape book "
— Cheryl-Lynn, 11/5/2013" I liked this one better then the first. It had a better romantic twist. "
— mary, 10/28/2013" The book was very similar to the first one. All of Colleen's books are quick reads. I hope the third book in this series has a different story line. "
— Lisa, 10/23/2013" I really found myself immersed in this story; the writing is very good! The only downside was that the main character kept repeating the same mistakes; keeping the truth from the man she loved. I would definitely recommend this novel! "
— Pam, 5/15/2013" Really enjoyed the book. Love Christian fiction, mystery and love stories and this had them all! "
— Erin, 11/23/2012" This book was recommended to me by a friend and she was right, it's a very well written book that really takes you in and catches you. It shows what people who really love their children will do for them. I had a feeling how it might end, but there were twists and turns getting there! "
— Gail, 11/9/2012" I liked the story line and the mystery intrigued me, but there was a lack of depth and richness to the story. It seemed flat and the characters and their decisions were not easy in which to relate. A good book if you want a fairly simple feel-good read. "
— Katherine, 11/7/2012" An intriguing book set in Texas with a Spanish treasure, mystery, and romance. Shannon must learn to trust, and that the truth will set you free. She also learns that love is not just a fuzzy feeling way down deep that you can't do anything about - it is a choice. "
— Angela, 8/25/2012" This is the first time I have read Colleen Coble and I loved this book! I will be reading more! "
— Kalyn, 2/28/2012" Nice quick read (2 days). Story was pretty good, though kind of far fetched. "
— Lonnie, 2/21/2012" An easy to read, romantic novel. Hard to put down, except towards the end. It got a bit too much about the same issue the woman was dealing with. "
— Carolien, 9/28/2011" I'm not one to love just a plain love story. I need action and excitement along with it and this book provided! I could not help but to feel sympathy for Shannon and cheer her on. "
