Sometimes it takes a stranger to see you as you really are. Born and raised on sprawling Texas land, Margaret O’Brien prides herself on her competence as a rancher. But her father believes she’s made for more than just dawn-to-dusk work. He wants her to have the love of a good man, to raise children, to build a life. But Margaret gave up such dreams years ago. She’s convinced no man would have her, that the ranch is her life now. So when Margaret’s father hires Daniel Cutler as a new foreman, she’s frustrated and suspicious. Then an overheard conversation links him with a gang of bank robbers, and she’s downright worried. Daniel swears he’s not involved, but Margaret’s not convinced. She knows the man still has secrets. But would a criminal be so kind and talk so convincingly of his faith? As a series of tragic “accidents” threatens all she holds dear, Margaret must decide what to trust: her own ears, her best judgment . . . or what her heart keeps telling her. From the author of the bestselling Blue Moon Promise . . . an exciting tale of danger, romance, and faith played out under Texas stars.

"This was part 2 and it was really good. A christian romance/suspense. The suspense part is why I went with a 4. I don't do suspense. I get too tense at bedtime. I did relate to the female character quite a bit. If you liked the first in the series, you will like the second...maybe even more."

— Carolyn, 2/15/2014" Good Christian fiction with suspense, romance and a western theme. "
— Midge, 1/14/2014" I've loved her other books, but this one just didn't do it for me. "
— Steph, 1/7/2014" 3.5 stars... LOTS of action at the end. The synopsis doesn't really hint at the amount of thrill and danger there is. Review to be posted soon for Litfuse Publicity. "
— Marie, 1/5/2014" A very good story! All of Colleen Coble's books are great, and this one was no different. I love the types of books that take place in the 1800's. A must read!! "
— Patricia, 11/26/2013" While this book satisfies the desire to get lost in a fluffy Christian romance that takes place in the wild west, there were too many unbelievable events that threaten the life of our heroine in the space of just 24 hours that make it laughable. "
— Angie, 10/29/2013" Loved this story and its characters. It kept you on the edge of your seat and touched your heart all at the same time. Now I have to go back and read Nate and Lucy's story. "
— Shawn, 8/12/2013" I really enjoyed this novel. It's well written and entertaining, and I had no idea that it was the second in a series until now. It stood on its own very well. "
— Rachel, 7/24/2013" Another great read by Colleen Coble "
— Elynore, 7/12/2013" Looking forward to this sequel! Can't wait. "
— Kay, 4/26/2013" Really disappointed. Not as good as the first one in the series and the scenarios just seemed so overdone. "
