"This is probably my favorite book ever. I get so caught up in the story each time I read it, and I still cry. I am one of four sisters, so I can't help comparing ourselves to the March sisters. I love this book, and I think everyone should read it at least once in their lifetime."

" It was a bit of a slow read at first, but I did enjoy reading about each character's development as years go by. This book was filled with lovely lessons, mostly centered around this: Be happy with what you have. I enjoyed it :) "

" Although this book was long, I was interested the entire time I was reading. I found myself relating to a lot of the situations the March sisters were going through, and was glad that my grandmother had read the book so that we could talk about the chapters together. "

" If I want a book to tell me that a woman's place is beneath her man's thumb or that God punishes me because he loves me, this will be the first one I'll pick up. Until then it's back to the library and good riddance. "

" I read this as a teenager. I liked it then. Rereading it as an adult was actually kinda boring. I think this is because I knew the plot twists that were coming. I felt it dragged in places. Too much detail. But that is me reading it for a purpose (book group) and wanting to move on to something else so I think that tempered my feeling towards the book as an adult. "

" Perhaps it's because I have no sisters, or perhaps it's that I was a shy, quiet child named Beth... But I have hated this book since the first time I read it. On the other hand, the saccharine portrayal of Beth inspired me to reinvent myself as someone less helpless. "
