From the award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of The Rest of the Story comes a moving novel about the power of finding and speaking your truth.
When she’s modeling, Annabel Greene is the picture of perfection—the girl who has everything.
But her real life is far from perfect. Her best friend Sophie and she are no longer speaking; her older sister’s eating disorder is affecting everything at home.
Then she meets Owen. He’s intense, music-obsessed, and dedicated to always telling the truth.
And most of all, he’s determined to make Annabel happy. . .

"This is my second Sarah Dessen book, and let me just say, it did not disappoint! So, for some reason, i find that it takes me a second to get into her books, but then once i'm in, I'M IN! I get completely hooked and i can't put it down. Her characters are so real and easy to relate to. And i love a contemporary that has a music aspect to it. The story was terrible and hopeful and happy and meaningful--pretty much any adjective you can think of. It was also fun catching a glimpse of Wes and Macy at the waffle joint. Overall, great book, great message, go read it!"

" This book was recommended by my college roommate. I really liked her family story and loved how two outcast could end up together in their own way. Her "relationship" with her best friend turns out to be kind of obvious but; what I liked about this book was the fact that it was different. Music was a leading character which makes this story unique. "
— Alexandra, 2/7/2014" This book was so amazing, I just couldn't put it down. I felt like I was Annabelle, and I loved the romance between her and Owen. It was one of my favorite books of all time. "
— Faith, 2/6/2014" I just finished this book and I LOVED it!!! Sarah Dessen has done it again! I love Annabel's personality and even though she goes through a lot she doesn't let it get her. I love Owen and his music obsession!! I love how in the end everything fits together and gets better for Annabel how she deserves it to. This is a great book. "
— Delaney, 2/4/2014" A different kind of love story! :) I like the way that it was centered mostly on other aspects like family and personal problems rather than their love story itself! :) "
— Johanna, 1/23/2014" It's my favorite Sarah Dessen book yet.If you like Sarah Dessen this book will make you love her works. "
— Allaina, 12/8/2013" this book is very good very intence story the girl is raped by her best friends boyfriend and is called very bad names then she falls for a boy no ones likes i think a second book is needed "

— Kylee, 11/13/2013" a cute story about facing what really happened and trying to forget about bad things. also opening up to new people . "
— Beth, 10/17/2013" I wasn't really a music person. I would listen to music sometime. When I did, I would be doing something else. Now I seem to listen to music everyday, and just listen to music. This book isn't just about music, but what can I say: this book some how changed my view on music(?). "
— Sophia, 10/2/2013" In my opinion, this book could've been better. It doesn't have as much excitement to what some of her other books. But that's just my opinion. "
— Libia, 8/16/2013" one of my all time favourite Sarah Dessen novels. i love how some of the characters really grow through out the book, the plot, the sad moments and the happy moments. i also really loved Owen. i have read this book 2 or 3 times now and i love it a little bit more each time. "
— Mikala, 5/7/2013" This is one of Sarah Dessen's best and includes all the things that make her books standouts. The characters are flawed but well-developed. The plot moves at a steady pace, peeling back layers of the characters until you feel as though they are people you know. "
— Laura, 4/22/2013" This was another good, solid YA from Ms. Dessen. She is so talented at navigating the problems teens go through, and in this one, touched on a tough subject. The characters were real, raw, and yet easy to sink into. She's a writer I come back to time and again. "
— Jess, 4/2/2013" I loved the book but I think Annabel could've had more to her if that makes any since... "
