"I just finished the novel Hush by Kate White. Ever since White's Bailey Wiggins series I've been a huge fan. I love the way she builds her stories and they feel like an NYC glammed up version of Nancy Drew."
— Jackie (5 out of 5 stars)
“Dark, sexy, and smart, Hush is a pulse-pounding thriller that’s both chilling and provocative. Once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop—or guess who or whyuntil the very end. A stunningly good read.”
— Linda Fairstein, author of Hell Gate“Murder and lust make for a page-turner.”
— Harper’s Bazaar“A sharp-edged thriller…Sexy suspense.”
— New York Daily News“A stand-alone thriller that generates a real sense of jeopardy while avoiding clichésA subplot about the clinic’s questionable practices adds to the tension, but doesn’t detract from the main plot with its myriad twists.”
— Publishers Weekly" Terrible book. The inital plot is O.K. but it is is not held together very well. The main character not believable and extreamly annoying. Perhaps she should have taken an anti anxiety pill instead of the wine she was consuming. "
— Iris, 2/14/2014" I liked this book, but it was basically a run-of-the-mill mystery. Nothing about it really impressed me, but I didn't dislike any of it. "
— Jennie, 2/8/2014" A woman working in a fertility clinic has a one night stand with a man who turns up dead in the morning. Fast reading, good book gets better towards the end. "
— Cheryl, 1/23/2014" Fast page-turner and good story as well. I had a great time reading it. I thought the protagonist had guts. A fun read and my first by Kate White. I'll be back! "
— big, 1/11/2014" This is the second book I have read by Kate White, and though in the beginning I really enjoyed it, as it continued I just found myself kind of bored. There was a lot of hype with not much follow through, which was suspenseful for a while but eventually became disappointing. With that said I am still not against reading another one of her books at a later time. "
— Jessica, 1/10/2014" There are a lot of plates spinning in this mystery-thriller. The pace is relentless and I had a know in my stomach every tome i picked up the book. All in the space of one week, the main character's divorce takes a nasty turn, a murder is committed, the firm she's working with seems to be up to no good and she herself is being menaced by a mysterious man. Yikes! The author does a credible job of keeping the story lines straight and tying everything up pretty neatly at the end. Plus the identity of the murderer was quite a surprise. All in all, i enjoyed the book more than I thought I would. "
— Mike, 1/5/2014" Another good read by Kate White!! "
— Ashley, 12/17/2013" Easy read...Debbie, you will like it--it fits your summer qualifications! :-) "

— Naomi, 12/12/2013" Really 2.5...Started nice and then just fell flat, ended very neat and tidy, maybe I had just already lost interest. "
— Heidi, 12/6/2013" Kept me on the edge of my seat - or more accurately bed as I stayed up way too late to finish it in one day. "

— Rita, 9/19/2012" enjoyed reading this "

— Faye, 8/4/2012" I would actually give it 2 1/2 stars. The book captured my attention at times and was an ok mystery. Some parts I just didn't like. I felt like White left a few loose ends when the book came to a close. I know that White has written other book. Will I read them?? Probably not. "

— Michael, 12/27/2011" I really enjoy Kate White's work. She's not the next Fitzgerald, but her characters are shrewd, yet believable, and the plot lines are interesting and well paced. This was an entertaining mystery and I was able to finish it in a couple of days. "

— Danielle, 5/13/2011" This is a quick read. I read the entire book on the plane ride to Hawaii. I generally don't read this type of novel but this was entertaining enough. It kept me interested and wanting to know who did it.<br/>It's good for a beach/summer read. Nothing more, nothing less. "

— Christi, 3/7/2011" I read this book on vacation. It was fine--not great, not terrible, but an easy read while sitting by the pool. "
