After the drama of discovering that she’s a member of the Storks, an ancient order of women endowed with mystical abilities, Katla Leblanc is finally settling in to life in chilly Minnesota. The ex–California girl even hopes for a white Christmas. So when the snow starts to fall on a romantic sleigh ride with her boyfriend, Jack, it seems like the perfect present. However, before she knows it, Katla’s wintry wish spirals out of control, turning into the snowstorm of the century.
The unusual weather draws unexpected attention. Environmental scientist Brigid Fonnkona is runway gorgeous, utterly charming, and far too interested in Jack for Katla’s comfort—especially after Jack is singled out to help with Brigid’s research. Between Stork duties, rehearsals for the school production of The Snow Queen, and checking off items on her bedridden, pregnant mother’s to-do lists, Katla has zero time to investigate, even as she notices Jack’s long hours in the lab and the growing tension between the two of them. Then Brigid selects Jack to accompany her on a research expedition to Greenland, and Jack’s cold good-bye leaves Katla wondering where they stand, but when Jack goes missing above the Arctic Circle, Katla knows she’s the only one who can find him.

"I really liked this book until about 3/4 of the way through. Kat knows more about her Stork-ness and her life. She dabbles a little in making choices for the souls, which hints at what's to come in book 3. I had issues with how Kat resolved the major conflict of the story."

" not as good as stork but I did like the introduction of more mythological creatures such as the seal people and the snow queen and mermaids. I got mad at Jack and wished Kat had more of a backbone. the story is unrealistic within the book's settings but once that's accepted, it's okay. it's pretty predictable but I do want to read the next book and read more Stork-ing. "
— Monnette, 1/22/2014" A superb follow-up. Fans of DelSol's STORK will not be disappointed! "
— Kali, 1/16/2014" Not as strong as the first one, I'm generally not a fan of 2nd books in a series of 3. Frustrating at times. "
— Jahnelle, 1/5/2014" Jack Frost "
— Mariam, 1/3/2014" I didn't love it as much as "Stork", but it's my first digital read so maybe that's because I wasn't as connected. We shall see. "
— Jamie, 12/28/2013" loving this new series "
— Deborah, 12/3/2013" Loved this book. Katla really shows her determination. Once again the writing was fluid and kept my eyes glued to the pages. "
— Lisa, 11/24/2013" LOVEDDDDDDDDD "
— Emma, 11/7/2013" Although the first half of the book is a little hard to get through, the action in the second half is worth it. I did want to slap Jack a couple times. "
— Katie, 9/12/2013" REally loved this book! I couldn't put it down! "
— Bach, 9/9/2013" Meh. Not sure if I will read the next one. "
— Sharon, 8/3/2013" This was butts. Really, the whining, the jealous girlfriend thing and the incredible slow idiocy to pick up what was happening just made for painful reading. "
— Ligia, 7/13/2013" This novel continues the love story of Katla and Jack begun in Stork. It draws on the Hans Christian Andersen tale of the Snow Queen. I look forward to reading Flock the final book in this trilogy. "
— Laura, 6/27/2012" I've never read a book with so many similes. I really started to get tired of reading yet another one only a couple paragraphs from the previous. Otherwise, I did like the story. "
— Naomi, 1/28/2012" I kind of had higher expectations for this book. I didn't like the Snow Queen correlation. That story drags on and on and so did this one. The characters were really bugging me by the end of the book, though the end did intrigue me. "
— Lynae, 10/30/2011" Look for my review on my website "
— Melissa, 10/23/2011" I may have enjoyed this more if I'd read the first book. This is apparently going to be a trilogy. It's young adult fiction. I got this book as another freebie from the convention this summer. It was okay, but... "
