" What the heck? I ususally love Adler's books. They read like exotic travelogues with mystery and romance thrown in. This was completely flat in all respects. The story never took off - it took at least 150 pages before anything happened and then it still fizzled. The characters did not develop, the mystery was a tiny side show and the romance was half-hearted. Mac and Sunny (characters from previous books) were so boring this time! The whole thing just felt like there was little effort put into its creation. Very disappointing. "

When the step father threatens to sue for custody of Paloma, and control of her money, the family then decides to find Bibi. Would definitely make a beach book. "
