Publisher Description

Two-time Christy Award finalist Stephanie Grace Whitson's Pine Ridge Portraits series, based in Fort Robinson Nebraska, is immensely popular. Now it's World War II, and a group of Nazi POWs has been brought to Fort Robinson. The townsfolk, already heartworn from the loss of many men, are divided in their feelings about the prisoners. Whitson's portraits will bring back some familiar faces and introduce new ones as the community struggles to come together in the faith of a God who loves unconditionally.

"This is the third in a series. It is Christian historical fiction. It was very interesting. It is set during WWII, but the different spin is it involves German POWs that were sent to the US during the war. I had never read much about that before. "

About Stephanie Grace Whitson

Award-winning novelist Stephanie Grace Whitson began playing with imaginary friends (i.e., writing fiction) in the 1990s when an abandoned pioneer cemetery near the Whitson's country home provided not only a hands-on history lesson for her four home schooled children, but also a topic of personal study. She has continued to write full time since the release of her first novel in 1995. When not writing or researching, she enjoys reading, quilting, spoiling her grandchildren and/or Kona Kai (the golden retriever), and riding her motorcycle named Kitty.
