About the Authors
Kate Egan, editorial director of KCP Loft, has edited children’s and YA books for more than twenty years. Authors she’s worked with include Cynthia Lord, Tamora Pierce, and Suzanne Collins. Kate has also written many books for children, including a picture book, Kate and Nate Are Running Late (illustrated by Dan Yaccarino) and a middle grade series called The Magic Shop.
Jeff Brown (1926–2003)
was a magazine editor and short-story writer who created the beloved character
Flat Stanley as a bedtime story for his sons. He wrote many books about the star
of the perpetually popular series, including Flat Stanley, Stanley and the Magic Lamp, Invisible Stanley, Stanley’s
Christmas Adventure, Stanley in Space, and Stanley, Flat Again! Born in New York City, Jeff was a story editor
and assistant film producer in Hollywood, worked on the editorial staffs of the
New Yorker and the Saturday Evening Post, and was a senior
editor at Warner Books.
About Andrew Eiden
Andrew Eiden, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, is an actor and voice artist. He has been acting since the age of four, working at regional theaters including La Mirada Theatre, the Glendale Center Theatre, and the Pasadena Playhouse.
