"This book started a little slow for me, but about half way through I couldn't put it down. I think it was better than the first two, and I'm now very excited to read the next one. Cassie is finally coming into her own in this book and has to make choices about who she can really trust. She's also figuring out that she has to make decisions and actually take responsibility in her new role. The story line seemed to drag on in the second book, and it finally concluded a major part in this book, so I'm excited to see new things for the next one."

" Great series. If you are hungry for more Kim Harrison, but don't know what to read until the new book comes out, read Karen Chance. While not as long and detailed, her characters are as touching and wonderful with great romance and magic and action. The mystery is never straightforward and the twist is always unexpected. "
