Dear Reader, Book titles can stymie an author. Finding the right one is like hitting stride in a long-distance race: The sooner you do it, the better the run. FACETS was FACETS from the opening shot, a natural when the book was first published in 1990 and a natural today. This is a many-sided book in several regards. Think of a gem. On one side, there is Hillary Cox, a writer; on another, Pamela St. George, a jewelry designer. On a third, there is Pamela’s brother John, a mining magnate; and on a fourth, Cutter Reid, once a devil-may-care tourmaline miner, now as sophisticated as John. In setting, FACETS ranges far as well, from the glitz of New York to the elitism of Boston to the nitty-gritty of the small Maine mining town of Timiny Cove. Likewise personalities: FACETS pits the arrogant, self-centered John against the newly vengeful Hillary, the creative and sensitive Pamela, and the doggedly self-made Cutter. Spanning three decades, FACETS is as much a family drama as any I’ve ever written. My writing style may have changed since 1990, but the heart and soul of my characters have not. Please enjoy FACETS as much as I did then - and do now. My thanks and best wishes, Barbara Delinsky

"I always like Delinsky's style, and this book is a bit of a soap opera but without the nauseating aspect of a soap opera. It is light reading. "

" Just really care for this book. Couldn't relate to any of the characters. "
— Krystal, 1/11/2014" 90% great, 10% bad ending. Why ratchet up all that emotion and give you all that backstory only to end it like an Agatha Christie novel. It was John St. George in the Library. "
— Jessica, 12/10/2013" 90% great, 10% bad ending. Why ratchet up all that emotion and give you all that backstory only to end it like an Agatha Christie novel. It was John St. George in the Library. "

— Wendy, 11/17/2013" Unfortunately this was a book on CD; if I'd been reading it I would have skipped most of the book and read the last chapter. Definitely not worth the time. In addition I found the ending disappointing. Not one of Delinsky's better books. "
— Lynette, 11/16/2013" Interesting plot... learned about jewelry making. It's steamy and light, but heavy on the drama. "
— Lori, 11/15/2013" I HATED this book! BORING!!!! I merely finished it because I made it past the 6th chapter, expecting it to get better, but never ever did. Not recommended! "

— Jan, 7/16/2013" Could have benefited from John, the baddie, being more human. Currently the only human thing about him is being loved by Hilary. Reminded me of Bold Eagle by Steele, keeps going on and on about same stuff, with more examples. Her later stuff is better. "
— Natalya, 11/17/2012" 90% great, 10% bad ending. Why ratchet up all that emotion and give you all that backstory only to end it like an Agatha Christie novel. It was John St. George in the Library. "

— Dara, 3/3/2012" Not her best, and not as relevant as claims. "

— Lizziet, 6/16/2011" This book started out with really intriguing characters. Halfway, through, it became unbelievable. There were a few points where I thought I would stop reading. I continued on, but was not wowed by the rest of it. "
