"This is Book 1 in the Oracles of Fire series. It is a prequel to the Dragons in our Midst Series. Questions that you had about DIOM, and how the story started. It is answered in Eye of the Oracle. You meet new characters that had been apart of the DIOM stories but were behind the scenes, and you find out that they were very important, and that they helped our heroes Billy and Bonnie many times. You start at the times before the Great Flood, With Noah on the Ark, Morgan's plans, The Dragons and what made some of them evil, King Arthur and Merlin, Sir Barlow and his Knights, The Transformation, The Anthrozils, and present. This one has always been the hardest one for me to get through. Because the second part in the book was stuff we already knew but with more detail. The things that I loved was stuff that was new. I love Sapphira's, Elam's, and Acacia's stories. I can identify the most with Sapphira not necessarily with suffering alone for 5000 years, but I can identify with her struggles, and her triumphs. A lot of fans really liked this one. So if you liked DIOM you will love Oracles of Fire. The stories Continue in book 2 Enoch's Ghost which begins the sequel to DIOM where Tears of a Dragons left off. A must read."

" This book was fantastic it has blended all the boundaries that I once knew between Religious fiction and Fantasy. It was masterful, I can't wait to read the next in the series!!!! The characters had such depth and appreciation for life, their thoughts and ideals were perfect for this book. The plot was ingenious, I absolutely loved the originality by the author. "
— Goldie, 2/16/2014" i read this book, which is 607 pages long in five days (which is insanely fast for me, being a pretty slow reader). i loved it tremendousley! it and the rest of its series and the DIOM series are both fantastic! they tie in fantasy and the Bible sucessfully into one book. and had me captivated all summer. i had my Bible out continuously so half of the time when it is usually in my purse, the little Bible was in my lap, looking up a verse (if i didnt know it) stated in the book. i have definately grown closer to Jesus during the time of reading these books-since i also was going through a rather hard time myself and to see how the kids in the books handled themselves was quite encouraging! i love the books thouroughly and they have been a great encouragement to me. "
— Taylor, 2/13/2014" It did take me a little while to get this book started, but once I was far enough into it I enjoyed it as much as the Dragons in our Midst series, of which this is a prequel but not required to read before, because it is also the beginning of another series. It's long but I felt it was worth the read. "
