The first book in Anna Carey’s chilling Eve trilogy, Eve is perfect for fans of The Handmaiden’s Tale.
After a deadly virus wiped out most of Earth's population, the world is a terrifying place. Eighteen-year-old Eve has grown up isolated from the rest of the destroyed world in an all-girls school. But it isn’t until the night before her graduation that she discovers what her duties will be once she graduates.
To avoid the horrifying fate that awaits her, Eve flees the only home she’s ever known. On the run, she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy living in the wild. Eve knows she shouldn’t trust him, but he slowly wins her confidence…and her heart. He promises to protect her, but when soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must choose between true love and her life. Eve is the first book in Anna Carey’s trilogy, full of romance, adventure, sacrifice, all set in a near future that is both wonderfully strange, and chillingly familiar.

"I really liked this series! I can't say the ending wasn't predictable and this was the best book I've read so far this year but I still liked this book as part of the whole so I gave it four stars. I guess I would consider the series to be a "4 star" series more than individually this book. They could be read continuously very easily since they weren't individually very long and the story continues to unfold throughout all three books. I really liked the way that this dystopic world was not like others I have read in the past. Some of the series I've been reading lately are so similar in setting I get them confused when new books come out."

“A gripping, unforgettable adventure—and a fresh look at what it means to love.”
— Lauren Kate, New York Times bestselling author of Fallen" Not as good as the first two. This book lacks some of the emotion that made the other books so gripping "
— Liz, 2/19/2014" Great book loved the whole thing i cant believe some stuff happened. And the ending omg i totally knew it i want to read the next book.:) "
— Megs, 1/19/2014" Ummm.....WHAT THE HECK?!?!?! CALEB CAN'T STAY DEAD! IF HE IS, THEN I HATE THIS SERIES!!!!! Is he dead? Does he stay dead? Someone, please tell me! I don't care if it spoils anything, but this...This is unacceptable! *sobs* ...so many things wrong with the world, I don't want to have to read about it fictionally, too!!!! This is just mean. This is just...I can't...*drops mic and walks off stage, finds a corner and cries.* "
— Shadowhunter, 1/11/2014" Although I thought this book was good, I was disappointed with the ending. I thought we deserved at least an epilogue after reading 3 novels. Just felt slighted cheated. "
— Katie, 1/5/2014" Called it. It would have been nice to have had a short epilogue at the end though; the ending was slightly sudden. "
— Allyssa, 1/5/2014" Well aside for the completely abrupt end I did love the story. Praying for another one to continue! "
— Melinda, 12/18/2013" another cliff hanger ending.. can't wait for the next book "
— Havnablondmoment, 11/2/2013" Actual rating: 3.75 - 4* "
— Gdgetgrl, 9/22/2013" There better be a fourth one. "
— Haley, 8/25/2013" IT'S SO GOOD. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. (view spoiler)[THE FACT THAT CALEB'S ALIVE MAKES ME THINK THAT THERE'S GONNA BE ANOTHER BOOK! :) :) :) (hide spoiler)] I really enjoyed Rise. A lot more than Once, and almost as much as Eve. I loved it! "
— Lisa, 7/5/2013" Great ending but I would live to see at least an epilogue. A spin off series for Arden would be even better. "
— Susan, 4/5/2013" This book was an AMAZING end to the trilogy. i LOVE the end. i kinda wish there was like and epilogue though. I finished this book in just 2 days. I would sit down and read for 6 hours straight. I just could not put it down. It was such a gripping novel. MUST READ!!! "
— Lydia, 4/4/2013" What. The. Hell. Was. That. Ending? "
— Kim, 1/26/2013" This was my least favorite out of the trilogy. I knew what would happen but I didn't expect it to be the very end that it happened. As a reviewer said before: at least a few extra lines would have been perfect just to close things up. "
— Hayley, 1/14/2013" I still think the first one was the best out of all of them... "
— Madison, 10/26/2012" I was a little disappointed in this last book in the trilogy. A little predictable with a less than satisfying end. Not enough of the ends got tied up and the ones that did get explained were a little "pat" for me. "
— Jennifer, 10/6/2012" Disappointing ending, in my opinion. The last 30-40 pages really felt rushed. And seriously, who ends a trilogy like that? There's gotta be another book... "
— Shenna, 9/18/2012" WORST ENDING EVER. Did she run out of pages to properly end the series? Because that left me with a feeling of : BLEH. "
— Cassidy, 9/12/2012" That was amazing!! I bought the book yesterday and finished it last night. I could not put it down! I loved all of the plot twists especially the one at the end!! <3. If you have yet to read it or have not been able to read you NEED to read it!! "
— Savanah, 5/15/2012" she just can't end it like that! Amazing series really hoping not a trilogy *wink* "
— Lexus, 4/14/2012" A moving story about love and one girl's fight to be free. "
— Nadia, 11/1/2011" This was pretty good, I think I am just all dystopian noveled out right now... "
— Molly, 10/28/2011" I just want to cry. Loved the book I don't know if I can wait for the next one. "
— Renee, 10/23/2011" Eve is the first of a trilogy that yet again proposes a population in need of fertile young girls to be terrorized and captured by rapacious men (aided, unfortunately, by sell-out older women).

Rating: 2.5/5 "
— Jill, 10/18/2011" I really enjoyed this story and bought into the premise...to a point. I thought it started to get a little contrived as I got further into it and was left with a 'meh' feeling at the end. But I really enjoyed the first half of this book! "
