"Diary of a Fly is part of the series, "Diary of a Worm". Fly and worm are friends, and the book contains the diary of the fly. I think this book, because it has many non-fiction aspects about the life of a fly. It can be used in a unit on insects. It discusses the stages of a fly's life and anatomy of their body. It includes humor, but also incorportates learning."

— Crystal, 2/6/2014" This one is Zoey's favorite, probably because fly is a girl. Again, fun to read, fun to look at, fun to discover new things that we didn't see in previous readings. "
— Elizabeth, 2/6/2014" Frank liked it. We got this one with the audio CD companion, and Frank seemed to really enjoy the format (listening to it with clues about when to turn the page). "
— Frank, 1/17/2014" Same vein as worm and spider...science plus story with humor create a fun book for preschoolers. "
— Tricia, 1/7/2014" I love fly she's sooo cute! lol "
— ♥Cynthia♥, 12/7/2013" I was prepared to be disappointed when I saw this book, after not loving 'Diary of a Spider'...however, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself laughing out loud! This is just as good as 'Diary of a Worm' and I can't wait to read it with my second graders. "
— Tiff, 12/4/2013" Every one of Cronin's "Diary" books is ROTFL funny, and this one is no exception. Better for elementary school students than preschoolers--teachers, grab these books when you're doing lessons on worms, spiders and flies! "
— The, 11/19/2013" It's funny & it teaches about flies. "
— Tina, 11/5/2013" Great story...great illustrations. A great choice for family read-alouds. "
