" This is really more a 3 1/2 stars for me, as it was a great story but felt sort of disjointed to me instead of flowing easily like all the rest of her books did. The ending was dramatic, and sad but ultimately true to the overall tone of the series. Good mysteries within the plot as well. "

" "Volunteered" to take over rehearsals of a children's play for the musical director of her church, Benni Harper's entertainment career comes to a dismal end when she stumbles upon the corpse of the church handyman in front of the altar. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Natalie | 9/13/2012

" this was my favorite of the 3 books I have read by Earlene Fowler. Clues in the book lead you to the same conclusion as the ending...I like that better than when the ending pops out of nowhere :-) If you like mysteries with believable characters and lives, this is a good one. "
