"Got this book because it was a free download from kindle and I loved it. Very light and easy read, like many series books, and I wll definitely read the next in the series! It reminds me a lot of Debbie Maccomber series which I also enjoy. You can't come in with high expectations or you will be dissapointed, my love for the occasional easy, fast read really made me enjoy it. Then add the fact that it was free!!!"

" I had a hard time getting through this book. "Chick-lit" isn't my favorite genre. I did enjoy the part where the girls went to Paris. That brought back good memories of Paris and all the wonderful sites there. "
— Sherry, 2/19/2014" Um, it was about what I expected. A light, go nowhere book. It didn't surprise me but it was a frothy read. The ending wasn't exactly what I expected and parts of it were a bit too much. Obviously the author adores Paris and wanted us to see the charm as well. As I wasn't in the mood for a travel guide that was a bit much. A good, light, read that you'll quickly forget. "
— Beth, 2/11/2014" Fun read. The flow of the book seemed a little off but the breaks may be different since I read it on Kindle. "
— Rachel, 1/30/2014" Simple book. Could have been so much more. "
— Mom, 1/23/2014" Light beach read, which was where I read it. I didn't find the writing terribly remarkable, but it was a fun story. Girl gets dumped at the altar with a text message. The rest of the book is about her finding herself and her unique friendships with the women in her book club. "
— Hillary, 1/20/2014" They say the best things in life are free... They were not talking about this book. I downloaded this book for my Kindle because it was free and the description sounded cute. The story idea was cute but the writing was terrible, particularly the dialogue. Also, the writer really should put in the book description on Amazon that this book is very heavily Christian themed. "
— Carly, 1/17/2014" I loved this book. It's completely clean and has a fun story to it. I think it'd be great to have an "Adventure" book club... maybe one day I'll start my own.... I'll definitely read more from this author. "
— Sarah, 1/16/2014" Took about 90 minutes to finish. A very easy read for a rainy night. "
— Ann, 12/27/2013" Fast read, predictable but entertaining. "
— Pam, 11/27/2013" A nice read if you're looking for something a little light. "
— Starla, 11/7/2013" 1 1/2 stars. Plot was unoriginal and much too thin. In other works by this author, I have enjoyed quirky humor and likable characters in whom I felt invested...but not here. "
— Cathleen, 11/4/2013" Great book, very interesting... get better as it moves along. "
— Desiree, 10/25/2013" Ugh. SO boring. I skimmed a lot. "
— Rebecca, 10/6/2013" Amazing book!!!! I loooooved it! This book really spoke to me! :) "
— Sarah, 7/5/2012" I wanted to like it. Too many themes and the book club monthly chapters seemed like separate short stories. Eight women was too many to keep track of. "
— Mary, 1/26/2012" Cute book about a young lady and her book club. "
— Kim, 12/8/2011" The reading was too light for me. Didn't draw me in! "
— Jane, 10/26/2011" I usually LOVE this author, but this book wasn't as good as her others. Still, its a quick read, and it did give me some book recommendations. "
— Jenny, 9/16/2011" Lots of plots opened and left. "
— Jenn, 4/8/2011" the first in a series of christian chick lit - really enjoyable and not heavy on the religion "
— Leslie, 8/24/2010" The beginning of a series of the"Getaway Girls" book club. This was a bit unrealistic, but fun. Descriptions of Paris were greaat and made me want to go back! A good Christian Chick Lit read. "
— Diane, 7/14/2010" the first in a series of christian chick lit - really enjoyable and not heavy on the religion "
— Leslie, 6/18/2010" Loved this book! The characters were very well devloped and as a reader, I was pulled into their story. "
— Jacquelyn, 6/17/2010" This was a quick entertaining read; perfect while is was sick in bed!! I can't imagine what it would be like to be left at the altar! "
— Turtlegirl00, 6/7/2010" I enjoyed seeing which books they picked for their book club. I want to be a part of that book club! "
— Saralyn, 6/5/2010" An ok book simply because of the other books (read by the book club in the story) that are mentioned. "
— Kate, 6/1/2010" This book was a little churchy, but not overly so. THe book starts out like a romance, but it's more of a girl-empowerment type of thing. Lots of talk about books and food, two of the better things in life! "
— Emily, 5/25/2010" This is a great beach book. One that you can pick up and put down at your leasure. Nothing so drawing that you have to keep reading, but enough to keep your attention and help you pass this time. "
— Chayil, 5/12/2010" Not the best book I've read. I found the main character flat, a non-risk taker and just boring. I kept waiting for the book to hit it's turning point and get better but never achieved it. "
— Natalie, 4/24/2010" Just loved this book! An easy read :) "
— Lee, 4/17/2010" Anyone who likes to read about food, art, books, or travel will find something here. "
