Publisher Description

Fifteen-year-old Callie is so withdrawn that she's not speaking to anyone, including her therapist at the residential treatment facility where her parents and doctor send her after discovering that she cuts herself. Her story unfolds primarily through dramatic monologues, gradually revealing the family turmoil that led to her self-destructive behavior. Callie's efforts to understand herself and her family illuminate her process of recovery honestly and with hope.

"A very powerful book about a girl's trip to wanting help for her cutting. It was one of the most descriptive books I've read and it's set as if it were a screenplay it would be an Oscar winner. Not really reccomended to younger teens, though I'm 100% to anti-cutting. "

" It's a good but but has a very slow pace. You keep waiting for something exciting to happen but it never really does. Callie is a girl who is sent to Sea Pines for treatment because she cuts herself. It's a story about her life in Sea Pines and the other girls who have problems too. "
