He lives in Cape Town with his wife, the artist Paula Church, and three children. Crackerjack is his debut in North America.

Peter Church is a South African novelist of crime fiction. His Bitter Pill was longlisted for the London Sunday Times Fiction Prize. His short stories have been published in a number of local anthologies.
Peter Noble, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, grew up in South Africa and studied drama and music at the University of Cape Town. He has worked extensively as an actor, touring South Africa with a small repertory theater company, as well as working on radio, TV, and film.
