" This book was hard to finish. I did complete it b/c I want to read the sequels, which I understand are much better. In this story the heroine, Lainie, has two men who want her. They agree to share her. One really loves her and one likes her a lot and lusts after her as well. What I hated about this story was that, to Lainie, these guys were interchangeable. One, the other, or preferably both in her bed, she didn't seem to care. The whole book was a contest between the two men as to who could out perform the other in bed. Bottom line, the main conflict was who will she choose? She finally decides who she loves but I didn't buy it. If she really loved him, I don't see how she could be doing the other guy so vigorously just days before. There was zilch romance here, only a big sex fest. Once she picked her man, he seemed grateful to be the one she wanted but I just felt sorry for him. He went through more than most men could ever go through waiting for her to return his love. I guess I didn't feel like she deserved him. The only worse story line I can think of than this one would be a book about two women who have to audition for a man's love and then read about how the chosen one is pathetically grateful that she was chosen over the other woman.
