About the Authors

Susan Ershler and her husband became the first couple in history to climb the Seven Summits together. She is an international speaker and business executive who has held a series of executive positions in the sales divisions of Fortune 500 companies, including Verizon, Qwest, United Technologies, and FedEx, and has earned eleven President’s Club Awards for leading teams to top performance. She is the coauthor (with her husband, Phil) of Together on Top of the World. She lives in Kirkland, Washington.

John Waechter has successfully climbed the Seven Summits. He serves as managing director and partner at Delafield Hambrecht, Inc., an investment and private equity firm headquartered in Seattle. Prior to DHI, John cofounded Waechter Lufkin, LLC, a venture banking firm. He began his career in sales and marketing with the Xerox Corporation. Following Xerox, John was recruited to launch the data and video communications sales division of GTE (Verizon), where he earned several President’s Club Awards while deploying the new division throughout the company. He has held several senior management positions, including CEO of Internet software company Saltmine, Inc. He lives in Seattle.
