It's the most wonderful time of the year... and for Heather Andrews, security manager at Timberwoods Mall, undoubtedly the busiest. But this Christmas, Heather has more to contend with than frazzled parents and disgruntled Santas. Angela Steinhart, a young woman who designed the mall's spectacular holiday displays, has had a premonition that tragedy will strike on Christmas Eve. And Angela's visions have a habit of coming true.

Heather would love to dismiss the warning as holiday stress. But the more she gets to know the quiet, lonely Angela, the more she trusts her. In Lex, her boss, Heather finds an ally - and the glimmer of something more profound. And as the days count down, it will take all of her wits, hope, and unflagging courage to stop someone from destroying the season in one split second....

" No matter what this book jacket says, the book is not about a female security manager at a major mall using all of her "wits, hope, and unflagging courage." As a matter of fact, Heather Andrews, the security manager, does nothing more than get a warning from a girl who is psychic and turn all the decisions over to her boss, Lex. The man handles it from there and a very thin love story follows that is nothing more than gratuitous romance for Chick Lit. The real story, and the far more interesting one, is the psychic, Angela; the poor little rich girl who has negligent parents who think she's crazy. The entire book leans heavily on stereotypical story lines, caricatures of individuals and lifestyles, and all in all, wastes an interesting idea on a very mediocre book. It does take a shot at suggesting some forces that could drive people to extremes, develops a sympathetic character in Angela, most of the time, anyway, and manages to build some suspense until disaster is averted.
