" I like Lori Wick as a Christian romance author...when I want a good Christian romance, she's a safe bet. This book was just that - enjoyable, this time with a bit of a mysterious twist too! Enjoyed it. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Dani | 1/20/2014

" The premise was OK and good writing could have made it intriguing. Unfortunately, Wick's writing is bland except in the devotional passages of the book. If you want a light read that puts your mind back on God's place in your life, then try this book. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Hannah | 1/19/2014

" Was really interesting! I loved this book a lot, becase it had a specal meaning 4 me. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Miriam | 1/18/2014

" I did like this book. It was clean and inspirational. But it was really slow! Also, the characters weren't very realistic. It did make we want to be a better person. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Carolyn | 1/17/2014

" The Big Sky Dreams series is not one of the best. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Cera | 1/16/2014

" I thought this was a pretty good book. Probably the lesser of the three out of the series. But def. worth reading. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Autumn | 12/27/2013

" I really enjoyed this book,it was a quick read. Cassidy is a strong willed woman which was out of the nor for the 1880's. I love how quick witted the characters are. Good Christian novel. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Mandy | 12/17/2013

" Ok nothing reall spectacular but it was fun to listen to on the way to Tri Cities. It was sweet, without anything crude or rude. So it was enjoyable. There are two other books on CD in this series that I plan on listening to but I trust it won't have nasty language. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Meadow | 12/14/2013

" Lovely story, Cassidy must face her past before you can move forward in life and toward the man she has been growing to love. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 April | 12/1/2013

" After reading this first book, I am looking forward to reading the next in the series, Sabrina. It's a romantic book which also has the theme of being open and honest and how keeping secrets to protect others doesn't always do just that. Very good book! Classic Lori Wick. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Carrie Proper | 10/11/2013

" This book was an easy read. Not overly deep, but it kept my attention until I had read all three in the series. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jess Hart | 9/2/2013

" This is a feel good book but is not accurate whatsoever. The author portrays women as cowardly, afraid and in need of a man to protect them when many women in the wild west era could take care of themselves. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Charity U | 7/30/2013

" I have loved many books by Lori Wick, but not this one! It was a tolerably good story, but the writing felt...choppy or stilted or something. Didn't like that. Lori has written better books. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Maggie | 7/21/2013

" I can read this book over and over again! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Judine | 4/21/2013

" This novel has the right blend of historical time period (Lori Wick seems to excel at the 1880s) and romance with the strong Christian theme. I really like how Cassidy is able to hold her own and doesn't need Trace to come rescue her -- it gives a nice twist to a usually predictable plot. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Lisa | 4/17/2013

" 2 1/2 stars - Thought I'd like this book since I like this type of setting and time period...not impressed. I checked out the other two books in the series, but I will be taking them back to the library unread. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Judy Wise | 11/2/2012

" Really nice story, however it took me a little while to get into it. Nice christian story without preaching to the reader, some mystery, some romance and an insight into the ways of the olden days when people were building towns. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Maly | 9/15/2012

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Eveline Evans | 1/11/2012

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Janet Garrett | 11/2/2011

" love it. Lori's books are so sweet. A Godly romance. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Karen Chow | 7/7/2011

" Maybe it has been awhile since I read Lori Wick, but I really disliked her jumping around with short SHORT scenes. The plot was so-so, even Cassidy's character was a little too similar to Lori's other characters. It did make me tear up a bit, but I wouldn't read this again. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Carrie | 12/3/2010

" This book is the first in a three book series. Set in the Montana Territory in the late 1800's. Lori Wick is a great writer, so anything she writes is worth reading. She has other books I enjoyed more, thus the reason for the four stars, but it was still a nice story and fun to read. "

" a refreshing story about people and faith, w/ plenty of hope squeezed in-between lots of realism.

most of the characters were down to earth, too, which i appreciate.

bit of a different writing style, but one i enjoyed, after i got used to it. "
