" This story reminds me of my mother and her best friend who were "flappers" back in the day. How difficult it must have been to send husbands off to war and then to get the news that they were killed in battle. But friendship was the most important thing in those days. "

" I really like the way this author uses "voice," but I didn't like this story or characters near as much as I liked the Persian Pickle. Not sure I would recommend it. "

" I liked Persion Pickle Club so much better that this was disappointing. Now I'm not sure I'll read any more by Sandra Dallas. Anyone have any recommendations of some of her better titles? "

" This was my first Sandra Dallas book and I found it a light, funny , and serious read at times. I'd would enjoy picking up another of her books to take on a car trip or for a vacation read, one eye on the book one on the scenery. "

" I love the way Sandra Dallas tells a story. Even if they're all similar in some way, I could just keep reading her books. This is another one of my favorites. "

" What can I say. I love the way Sandra Dallas paints a picture in her story telling. I did not like this story nearly as much as some of her other books. Somewhat disappointed. "
