"I picked up this book not even reading the back. It was Sherrilyn Kenyon/Dianna Love....so of course I was going to buy it. I was surprised to find that they are writing a new series and having finished the book, even more surprised to find that this is more of a mainstream book...NOT romance. I have no idea where this series is going. If the books that come will follow the main character established here or some of the surrounding characters. I think that I would be happy either way. This series shows huge promise...fantastic characters and storyline development. There is a LOT to love with this paranormal book. I look forward to more of them!"

" It was a cool story, straight up and easy to read. It was very entertaining. The alterants are badass! Probably check out the rest of the trilogy. "

" There was a lot going on in this book with all the secondary characters and it was unclear which ones you really needed to pay attention to and which were just filler. It was a good story, hopefully the rest of the trilogy will develop Evalle more as I like her, but she was flat- to me, the most interesting relationship she has is with Feenix, and I'm not sure that's what the authors were going for. " I have read all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters series and loved each & every one of them so of course I had to read this book. I love that even though the paranormal is involved, there is a difference between the storylines. Can't wait to see what direction this series takes. "

" I personally didn't like or get on with this series, which is unlike me as I love her work! It was a good book but nothing compared to her pervious series like dark hunters and so on. This series would make a great sci-fi read. "

" A very good book and a fast read, but Sherrilyn Kenyon fans don't expect the usual romance Ms. Kenyon puts out. By pairing with Dianna Love it's a different sort of read, but very good nonetheless. "

" Honestly, I just skimmed the last 1/4 of the book. Normally I love Kenyon books, but for some reason I just couldn't get into this book. It had no depth of characters, the plot was all over the place, and there were characters that really had no purpose. I just couldn't do it. "
