Publisher Description

The army had said it was a training accident. But why had the coffin they sent home been sealed? So on a dark night, in a deserted field, Tom begins to unearth the mass grave where he hopes - and fears - that he will find his son's remains. He finds instead madness: corpses in chains and dead bodies that still move and grasp and clutch. And one little girl, dead and rotting, who promises to help Tom find what he's looking for, if only he will free her.

"I really enjoyed this book, and only rated it 4/5 because at times I felt the story was a little drawn out and I was waiting for something to happen. I found this to be one of those "rooting for the bad guys" books"

" Given the amount of crappy horror novels out there, Mr. Lebbon takes a well worn creature of the night and does some really interesting things with it. Highly recommended. "

" A quick read but with to many horror cliche thrown together to be interesting. The government experiment that went wrong releasing creatures that are a mixture of werewolf's and vampires. More of an action novel then a horror novel, just because it has creatures in it does not a horror novel make. "

" The scariest part of the book is the cover! Still kind of freaks me out. The story is a wild one but worth reading if you like horror. "

" Overall I wasn't really a fan of this book. It moved kind of slow, though the brief action scenes were interesting. I may have been more into the book if it hadn't been recommended to me as a zombie book, which it most certainly isn't. "

" WOW!!! What a great novel. It is not often that a "new" monster is introduced to the horror genre but Tim Lebbon has done just that. A great read. Highly recommended. "
